Hello new toys.

Here's a photo to prove my bad photography skills (I think my phone focused on the flowers at the back 🤦‍♀️). Luckily, I only did these gorgeous ladies' makeup today and they hired someone else to do the photos 😅. Everyone in Zahia's bridal party wanted a natural makeup. It's really the best choice 🙌 because it is never dated.

Scored 60% off (better than staff discount 😂). Only unboxed this weekend. The pigments look wonderful. The carboard packaging feels a bit light for a $141 palette but hey, who cares if the substance is there.

And here are a few options for my second cleanse (PM).

Foaming cleansers are usually my go-to, but I am always open to try other types. The only non-negotiables are (1) cleanses well, (2) rinses clean, (3) but not squeaky clean 😅.

My "default" cleanser is Dermalogica Special Cleansing Gel. 15 years and counting. I just love how this clear foaming gel cleanses so very well, but my skin never feels stripped or dried out. I only use a half-a-pea size. Love using this with my Foreo LUNA 3.

Then I discovered Bioderma Sensibio Gel Moussant as part of , which is fragrance free and has a very cushiony texture to it. Also a very effective clear cleansing gel, only a tiny amount is needed each time. Fantastic to use with LUNA3 as well.

Through I discovered Clarin's new hydrating gentle foaming cleanser, with a rich and luxurious cream texture. It does not foam as well as the other ones, so I have to use more product to get the same amount of lather (I like my foam when I cleanse), but it is true to the name and leaves my skin very hydrated. It is the more gentle option for days that my skin needs some extra tlc.

Finally there's Dermalogica Skin Resurfacing Cleanser. First impression - wowza this actually is strong! No lather, but there are some serious AHAs in there. Caution: not for daily use. I make it a weekly thing (like how I would with an exfoliant rather than a cleanser) when I feel I want to refine the skin more. When used together with LUNA3, I would feel like I have just had a peel. Yup, that strong.

- foundation primer (truly for all skin type and it works with every foundation from every brand)

- base perfect foundation (medium to full coverage with a semi matte finish)

- lipsticks (great colour options and moisturising)

- cheek créme (blends effortlessly for a glowy finish)

- brow pencil (universally flattering single colour)

- powder eye shadows and blushes (easy to blend, pigmented enough but not overly pigmented... yes I am fussy 😅)

Today is the day!

Ella Baché's new Defence+ is officially launched. I have been using the Charcoal Micro Exfoliant and Antioxidant Radiance Cream and I am loving both of them. The micro exfoliant has a gel texture which is not abrasive yet effective to give the skin a baby-smooth feeling, where as the antioxidant radiance cream is a rich protective and repairing cream that can be used day and night to give a glow that radiates from within.
