Last week SPA CEO Matthew Deaner and SPA Council President Tracey Vieira (Hoodlum, CCO) addressed the Senate Economics Committee, giving evidence on announced changes to the Location and Producer Offsets.
The pair reiterated that the government should aim to strike a balance between homegrown Australian screen projects and the international projects attracted to work here by Australian tax incentives to ensure that both can prosper and grow into the future.
