Repost courtesy of Art Presentations
"Rachel Coad was in talking to Tim about the crop marks for her canvas which is a finalist in the 2022 Doug Moran Prize.
I just had a look at the rest of the finalists.
Holy Crap there are some bloody good Artists and bloody good paintings.
Well done for making it this far.
The stretcher is cut.
We stretch it and then the boys from IAS collect it and it starts the road trip to Sydney.
At the minute a finalist…. She has been in this position a couple of times before …
Then it’s wait and see until the prize is announced.
We really hope Rachel wins the Moran and scoops the prize of $150k.
That would be such a brilliant feather in your cap to win the Moran but I must say also being a finalist multiple times shows you are going head to head with the best.
Go Rach."
