Our Medical Director, Dr Gavin Scriven – better known by his patients as ‘Dr Gav’ – has an expansive breadth of medical experience with many years centred around the world of aesthetics. Dr Gav’s core area of cosmetic focus is to achieve natural looking results using non-surgical treatments that deliver his clients subtle yet noticeable results with minimal downtime.

We toiled over what to call our clinic.

Family, friends, colleagues, and clients all shared their ideas.

Our vision was clear; create a place of pleasure where transformation can occur.

We pictured a butterfly, changing from a caterpillar to a delicate creature of beauty and strength.

We discovered that ‘butterfly’ originates from the Latin word, ‘papilionem’.

Curious to understand more, we learned that the Old French derivative of the noun is ‘pavilion’, meaning both ‘butterfly’ and ‘tent’, (the canvas of a tent resembles the butterfly’s spread wings).

The dictionary definition of ‘Pavilion’ refers to a building of change, where refreshments are served and the experience is a pleasure.

CO2 – RESURFACING

Have you ever experienced a fractional resurfacing treatment? At Pavilion we have the privilege of performing a number of ablative, resurfacing or remodelling treatments dependant on an individual’s personal needs. Last year we performed a Co2 laser on Lucy to address, texture, tone, and resistant acne scarring, and this was her 14-day recovery.

This treatment can vary in severity depending on the patient’s availability of downtime, desired outcome, and skin type. We primarily perform these treatments during the cooler months to allow for optimal recovery.
