Sad news - famed Dutch astro map maker Wil Tirion, passed away last week at the age of 81.

Wil's masterpieces included guides such as Bright Star Atlas, Sky Atlas, Uranometria and others have been favourites among our BINTEL customers for decades.

News this morning: the folks from the Event Horizon Telescope team have released this stunning image which shows strong magnetic fields spiraling at the edge of out Milky Way’s central black hole, Sagittarius A*. It's a view in polarized light.

This image even suggests that strong magnetic fields are found on all black holes.
