National Volunteer Week has begun! This week we celebrate and appreciate the extraordinary efforts of volunteers across Australia. ๐ Across New South Wales, there are more than 10,000 NSW SES volunteers who give their spare time to assist their local communities during storms and floods, as well as responding to road crashes, bush searches, vertical rescues and so much more! NSW SES responded to 30,000 calls for help during the last #StormSeason and more than 1,000 flood rescues. With increased chances of storms and a higher risk of floods, make sure you are prepared. To find out how visit https://www.ses.nsw.gov.au/
#StormSeason runs from October to March every year, bringing increased chances of heavy rain and strong winds. Strong winds can cause trees to fall on your home or car.
