Today Thursday 15th August is the Feast of the Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary into heaven, body, and soul. Along with Christmas Day, it is the only Holy Day of Obligation other than the Sundays of the year - which is to say a day on which all Catholics are called to come together for Mass if possible, to celebrate together the heavenly birthday of our Blessed Mother.

๐บ On Thursday, 20th of Week 8, our school and the non-profit organisation Together For Humanity (TFH) were interviewed by Channel 9 about the importance of their programs in combating inequality, prejudice, and violence. Ms Fielding, Amire Gorgise, and Beminet Habte were interviewed specifically about the impact of these programs in a school setting. Together For Humanity (TFH) fosters intercultural understanding and acceptance of diversity through tailored educational programs. Their presenters, from various faiths, cultures, and ethnic backgrounds, share their experiences of overcoming discrimination with our students. This term, TFH has run two programs for our students. The Year 11 and Year 12 student leadership teams participated in "Out of the Box," focusing on leadership skills, communication, and collaboration. Additionally, an ongoing 5-week program for our FIAT and FAM students focuses on interfaith dialogue and belonging.
