Lucy asked for garden party florals at her wedding, and to incorporate some blue/green in her bouquet to complement her coloured stone engagement ring, and blue shoes.

I used hyacinth and hakea foliage to bring in the blue/green tones, amongst an otherwise warm palette of champagne, salmon and muted red florals with native Australian foliages of gum and wattle.

The colours paired with her chic dress in the relaxed inner city setting are just 🤌🏻 what a vibe!

Conscious floristry is a term we use at Florada, in place of buzzwords like ‘sustainable’ or ‘ethical’, to describe our approach to floristry which is guided by the seasons and local availability. We only use Australian grown flowers, we say no to carbon-heavy imports, and we minimise waste with our daily processes and packaging. We are always learning and always improving.

The environment is at the center of what we do, so we aim reduce impact, while spreading the word and educating as many people as possible on how to make less impactful choices when sending flowers as a gift or creating flowers for an event.

The perfect set for our flower lovers!

When I first started Florada as a retail shop, my sister was just starting out as a ceramicist and would send me some of her first pieces to have in my store!

They were so popular and used to sell out! I got in her ear again at the end of last year and asked her to design and create a vase for our most popular posy.

I have just received our first batch of bespoke FloRADa vases that are now available online as a set in two colour options online, with our Florada Mood posy.

I’m honestly surprised there aren’t more policies at venues rejecting the use of floral foam. It’s such as sneaky single-use plastic that most turn a blind eye to.
