This is a simple and effective tool to use when you are feeling stressed, anxious or overwhelmed.
How does it work? This framework supports you to redirect your energy on to things that are in your control of and to focus on how you respond to situations that are out of your control.
How to do it:
1.Write down all of the things that are worrying you.
2. List each item either inside the 'circle of control' or out. Items that are directly within your control go inside the circle, the things that you don't have control over go outside the circle. See my example if you need.
3. Actively try to 'let go' or shift your time, energy and focus away from the things that are causing you stress that are 'out of your control'
The Theory: The circle of control was introduced by Stephen Covey in his book, “The 7 Habits of Highly Effective People.”
Try it! Download and print the blank Circle of Control page and give it a go. This is also great to save to your phone and to stop and look at when you are feeling overwhelmed.

Anxiety can be debilitating, having some knowledge of how it feels can assist you to better manage it. Tell yourself that whatever happened to you to cause the anxiety “Is not happening now”.
After a while your anxiety will lessen.
Now this is a GOOD DIET to go on and STAY ON. 🙂
