I’ve been to this location quite a few times over the years and never taken a single shot. Everything was perfect for this moment, the pink sunset, the merry go round had its lights turned on and the old Sydney ferry going by added to the story.

It’s no secret that Bronte is my favourite out of Sydney’s ocean pools. I love its unique shape along with all the little details that make it such a beautiful subject to photograph.

On this morning I really wanted to create an artwork to align with the pools character. To do this I chose to delay my shutter speed by just over 1 second. This enabled me to capture the movement of the ocean and the people, and also gives a texture that appears as if it were painted.

I’ve visited this location quite a lot over the years and hadn’t really found the magic until this morning. I had a vision of this image I wanted, and I needed the right time of year to shoot so the sun would rise in the perfect position to capture the warm flare across the opera house.

The Amalfi Coast was definitely one of my favourite locations in Italy. I love the way the architecture complements the landscape, enhancing it’s visual appeal. 🐚 So many little hidden beaches to explore.

Afternoon sparkles ✨ AMALFI 🇮🇹

After a month in Italy I’m back home and finally over the jet lag! It’s great to be home with my family again, but wow, what an incredible place to photograph! I’ll start to share more of my work over the next few weeks and should have the collection mostly finished by the end of the month! I have printed up and framed a couple for the gallery and will have them hanging for the weekend, so come down to the Rocks and have a sneak peek of what’s to come! I’ll be at all weekend. 🇮🇹🍄🍄🍄
