Equine Reiki 💫

Energy flows through the body of a healthy horse, like a constant flow of water travelling down a stream. Many factors can influence this flow; physical injuries, trauma, emotional issues, training problems, dietary needs or life events.

Physical, behavioural and psychological problems can cause blockages in the flow of energy. Equine Reiki restores positive energy flow into the body, correcting any imbalances.

Horses are particularly sensitive to energy and the intent of the practitioner. Therefore, I provide a distant Reiki session prior to meeting your horse, which the horse can receive in its own time. This enables the horse to open up and connect to the Reiki energies. It also allows an opportunity for me to discover any areas that may require specific attention.

Treating horses with Reiki helps relax and calm them, while relieving aches and pains or emotional wounds. Reiki is also beneficial for the owner or rider.

What is Reiki?

Reiki is a method of healing founded on the revelation and understanding of the body’s energy system. Although a form of spiritual healing, Reiki is not based on any religious belief or suggestion. Reiki is healing for the mind, body and soul. It is suitable for people of all ages and animals.

History of Reiki
Usui Reiki was founded by Dr Mikao Usui after a spiritual awakening on Mount Kurama. Usui Reiki is the most common form of Reiki practiced today.

Role of the Reiki Practitioner
The Reiki Practitioners ultimate goal is to help improve health and wellbeing (emotionally, mentally and physically) by offering universal (Rei) life-force (Ki) energy, and to restore balance.

How is Reiki Performed?
Reiki is usually a light hands-on treatment, delivered through various hand positions when the client is either lying or sitting down. A full Reiki session can take from 1 to 1 ½ hours.

What the Client May Feel During a Treatment
Heat or coolness, sleepiness, numbness, tingling, throbbing, heaviness or lightness. The session may prompt a release of emotions, such as crying.

LOVE is not needing someone else but rather complementing each other......... I saw these two birds huddled together on a cold morning, it made me think in nature it is natural to complement. When we need someone to be there for us, our relationship requires the other person to fulfill our desires to be safe, secure, protected, or loved. These needs have often come from our childhood that didn't offer these things how we needed them to be in some way. So we then ask our partners, children, or close relationships to repair the absence of this recognition, love, and approval our parents may not have given us. Love becomes conditional subconsciously. The lesson spiritually is that it is our responsibility to recognize our value, to connect with our inner child who once knew the value that is always available to us. We learn by what we are surrounded with, as do our parents. Sometimes they were not shown love unconditionally either and so we ask of them something they do not have the knowledge of. When we can see that it is "US" that chooses our value, the approval of others drops away, we no longer "need" from those around us and are then able to complement those we love. Ask yourself ...." Are you complimenting or Needing ?" It may be time to question the experiences and people you have had in your life and stop letting external influences dictate your value.....Maybe it's YOU that needs to recognize YOU !!!
