Cotton Corner Farm
At the foot of Sirromet Winery you’ll find Cotton Corner. A family-friendly urban farm property showcasing the best of rural country lifestyle.
Congratulations to our beautiful friends Josh and Solar, who tied the knot farmstyle here at our home on 20•04•24 in front of their loved ones.

If your new to following us, Welcome 🙏 We are a slow burn here...just like our posts, we dont rush to make content or chase the perfect pics. We try to be authentic and mindful and present (how can we not be when our animals spontaneously hop, jump, climb about). Just wanting to send our appreciation out to our followers, our tribe, we see you and we thank you for the support.
We've been quiet these past few months on socials due to our local council opening an investigation into our registered home business operations and zoning requirements.
It's been at times maddening as we established Cotton Corner and opened our farm business up to the wider community on the back of the pandemic when everyone was looking to reconnect with outdoors and nature.
Previously, we had invited people with disabilities (many immunocompromised unable to visit during and some after covid).
We haven't posted publicly until now as we didn't want it to affect our woodworkers income.
Saying goodbye to Giles and his LittleWoodworkShop has been the hardest call to make.
We all met at the tail end of the pandemic when Gov of all levels encouraged small businesses to pivot, work together, and help each other survive. Giles had lost his employment at the airport and had decided to return to his woodworking roots and began making childrens mudkitchens. We were all kindred parents to children with special needs and could relate to the pandemic in a different way (our own oldest child didn't return to school).
We have grown close and were so happy to see Ben (Kevins cousin, a local and uni student) pickup regular work experience with LWS. Its been a great ride, and we'll miss seeing both their faces every day. Whilst Redlands loses another great small business, we wish LWS the very best in their new location at Ransome.
As for where Cotton Corner Farm stands, for now, at least, we're still open and operating. 🍂
Happy New Year!
We've kicked the year off with a bang and renovations on BarnShop. We've also been taking event bookings for February, March and June. Whether your looking for site photography or a party venue, contact us now and reserve your date! [email protected]

As we come to an end of our birthday party season (...and take a deep breath before entering our Christmas party silly season) we are looking back on some of beautiful families we have met throughout the year 2022.
So many amazing people surround our community!
Thank you for trusting us with your little humans special day!

Nature verses Nurture?
This is our dog Arya who is about to turn 8yrs. I realised I hadnt posted photos of her on here but there's a long story there which in short is because she was stolen from our yard in oct 2020 (before security cameras) and was missing for 3 long months until a tip off from a couple of good samaritans helped return her to us. She was multiple suburbs away.
Anyways, she is a big part of our lives and a friend to all here on the farm right down to baby chicks. She has the best nature any dog owner could ask for. The only animal she no longer likes (only since her disappearance) is dogs but we can only imagine why and unfortunately she probably has her reasons.
Thankyou to everyone who has given her doggy pats especially the little humans as you restore my faith in human nature. 🍂 ~Julia
Come visit us today as we participate in the inaugural here in beautiful Mount Cotton.
Special thanks to our vendors and collabs
The weather hasn't disappointed us, the sun is shining and our events co-ordinator is conducting regular tours. 🍂
I was saying goodbye to a friend today when I felt 'eyes' on me. This little fella is a Cotton Corner regular...we named him Michael last year but the GTK ladies keep forgetting so he is also known as Mitchell too haha. Look at his 'yoga' pose...how many people get to see a wild kangaroo meditating 🧘♂️ ✨️ Maybe he's trying to tell us all to take five?

We encourage everyone who visits the farm to take care whenever possible petting and holding our beautiful chickens. Most of them are super friendly and dont mind a cuddle but if they choose not to be held, then its important we teach our kids not to run, chase or force the interaction. Often the slow and gentle way gets their attention and they will approach you.
is now hosting weekly messy play classes for age 6 months to 6 years! Come say hello to the farm animals and get messy under the farm trees! Perfect place to let the kids run around and burn some steam!
Bookings are essential on www.Gumtreekids.com.au

It's all about the people!
Charlie here turned 2 this week and we were fortunate enough to host his second birthday! 🤎
We first met Charlie and his parents Shon and Jess in October last year when they opted for a photoshoot here and became our first ever wedding visitors. had contacted us with a request for something with animals to add to their clients special day so that their son had fun too.🐐🐾
We've since followed mum Jess' socials and learned of Charlie's medical challenges and his phenomenal resilience.
With amazing parents and grandparents and family friends this little guy deserved to be spoiled.
We feel so honoured that they chose to host his second birthday here. Its all about the people and the special connections we make along the way in our little bubble of life.
~Julia
P.S Dont you just love Charlie's little facial expressions 😆🌿

We spotted this young Lace Monitor (tree goanna)🦎 in one of our mango trees 🌳 yesterday. We see two of them regularly and believe it or not this is the smaller one. Unfortunately both are known for raiding the chicken coop🥚🍗but they sure are beautiful and aptly coincided with yesterday messyplay themed 🦕 dinosaurs

It was so nice to greet families back out at the farm this morning after all this rain. The sun was shining and you couldn't wipe the smiles off of all of our faces.
Thanks for visiting and thanks for this pic of Julia (left) 🌿🐞

When it rains, It spores!
All this wet weather created little smiley rings of mushrooms on my front lawn. 🍄
Thankfully our place has faired much better than last years surprise flash flood. Our new steel paddock fence was definitely built to withstand the water. Our animals are all doing okay and the ducks are having a ball.
Hoping other locals and beyond are safe and secure.
What do you think of Cotton Corners new logo and banners? We're biased but we think their sooooo good!

We are now taking bookings for private events at the farm. This particular customer asked for food to feed the animals and this is what we came up with.
Enquiries welcome!

Blue is the rarest occurring colour in nature, with no true blue pigments in plants. Blue butterflies are natures way of completing the colour spectrum. (australianbutterflies.com)
