March 2024 is Pez’s Diesel Repairs 6th birthday! 🎈

At 25, Perrin started PDR as a solo mobile mechanic traveling from the central coast, to the upper hunter and everywhere in between. Working out of his customers yards and sheds with his first little service truck.

Perrin quickly realised he had gained enough interest and work after his first year of trading that he needed a workshop of his own. And that’s when he moved into his first shed at Tomago.

Since that time, he has gained an immense amount of loyal repeating customers, supportive quality supplier relationships and a group of dedicated employees who have become part of the PDR family.

Fast forward to last year. PDR relocated premises down the road to a much bigger and better suited workshop, has multiple service vehicles on the road and finds himself gaining new customers by word of mouth every week.

What an achievement and what a great 6 years it has been! We couldn’t be more proud of you Perrin. Here’s to you, the PDR reputation that you have worked so hard to build and here’s to many more years in business! 🥳👌🏼👏🏼

Must be able to work in a fast paced environment, show initiative and have a strong work ethic. Drivers licence is a must.

Your role will include but is not limited to; carrying out routine servicing, truck repair work, breakdowns and assisting with engine repairs and in & out of chassis rebuilds.

We work extensively with Cummins, Cat and Detroit engines. Experience with these will be highly regarded.

Tow Truck Tuesday ⛓

Late last year we rebuilt O’Neills Towing EGR Cummins in their 609.

It’s good to be able to help O’Neills as they always tow PDR out of the s**t when needed.

Thanks to the guys at North Star for providing all the parts.

This old girl came into the workshop as one truck and left as a truck from a whole different era.

Last month the boys striped and rebuilt both the Port and Starboard Ford engines which belong to The Beautiful M.V Lady Mac from Lake Macquarie Cruises… And ofcourse a rebuild isn’t complete without a fresh coat of paint.

In our next post we’ll share a video of the engines being reinstalled by the customer.

Some of you would not know this but Perrin also has experience working on Marine Engines.
The ‘Edward James’ has 4 engines, WECHAIR, DOOSAN, DEUTZ & JOHN DEER. Perrin has been traveling to Newcastle fish markets on a regular basis for the past 2 and a half years to maintain these engines and make sure they are running on point for their big trips.
This vessel travels for up to 11 days at a time. They haul in around 20 tonne of whiting and prawns.

From sea to snap frozen in about 8 minutes. Then it’s shipped overseas for packaging before coming back here to our supermarket shelves. Interesting stuff right!
At the end of last month, Perrin completed a rebuild on the DUETZ engine of this vessel.

Under the new covid-19 orders from the NSW government this week we have now implemented our covid safe plan.

All persons including drivers entering the PDR workshop will now be required to:
🔧 Check in through the service NSW app. You will find our QR code located at every door.
🔧 Sanitize your hands upon entry.
🔧 Wear a mask.
🔧 Practice social distancing when near our staff.
🔧 If you have been to or have been in contact with anyone from any of the hotspots in the past 14 days, please do not enter the workshop.
🔧 If you do not need to enter the workshop, please wait outside until your vehicles repairs have been completed.

This is to ensure all our employees, subcontractors, customers and suppliers as well as their families are all kept safe! We thank you for your cooperation! 😷
