We recently hit the 10-year milestone at OG. It’s been a wild and wonderful ride. A dream of mine (Mark) only made possible thanks to all the awesome & talented people who have been involved along the way - you all know who you are. Thanks also to our lovely loyal customers who have bought our coffee, from a Jan Juc garage to the Torquay Farmers Market, to our roastery café. Thanks to our café partners for choosing a local coffee supplier. And thanks to those who have followed, liked or shared our social media posts or given us a nice review! And of course the biggest thanks to my incredible wife Kim and three daughters for their never ending support and patience. We’re proud of plenty of things we’ve achieved like ditching single-use cups and running some fun events. There’s more exciting things still to come at OG, but our values are still the same since 2013: appreciating coffee, the coast and community. Big love, Mark and the OG family 🙌🌊☕️💙

Earlier this week was International Whale Shark Day and that very day I was lucky enough to swim with this gentle giant (and that’s the OG kids in the background!). An absolutely mesmerising experience. What an incredible creature and stunning reef - thanks to the crew at Ningaloo Discovery for an amazing day. This week was NAIDOC week - a time to celebrate and recognise the importance of Aboriginal culture. I was lucky enough to be at Uluru the past few days and the best way I found to pay respect was to stop, observe and listen.
Fresh origin for you to try from Brazil. It’s a natural-processed coffee from the Bela Epoca farm in the Alta Mogiana region. We’ve roasted it for espresso and it’s tasting great as a long black but also working a treat with milk. Try it at our roastery or grab a bag to take home. Thanks to our friends at Minas Hill Coffee for sourcing this tasty coffee for us 🙌☕️🌱

We’ll also be raising funds for the awesome crew at Ocean Mind Incorporated to help fund their surfing programs for young people experiencing mental health difficulties.
