We really mean it.. the photos don't do it justice! This custom hat rack is a real stunner. Created using the live edge of a piece of Spalted Tamarind with black resin to the splits and cracks. The colour you see there is all natural in the timber. The resin only has a small part in this overall design.
With country black hooks added, this extra large rack is going to be a real feature on the wall!

Ok sometimes things do get repetitive, but it's all worth it for the end product! Wait to see!

Braced because tomorrow's Monday? Feeling a little clampy? Blackbutt landing in progress.

When we make a piece of furniture, we spend many hours working with the slabs of timber, and always find a favourite aspect. It can be a knot with resin, a wavy grain. anything really....but on this table top....the favourite list is extensive. The spider web cracks filled with our custom gold resin, the heart of the slab with its circular patterns, the swirls of dark and light timber moving across the slab, the live edge of this massive tree biscuit, and the depth of this colour like liquid gold. We hope you like it as much as we did.

Raintree timber featuring Midnight Sapphire Blue and Black Onyx Resin. Deep colour, gorgeous swirls with a little sparkle, not blue but not a flat black, this is a real crowd pleaser.

Beautiful biscuit!
Our wonderful clients came to us with this one of a kind Raintree biscuit and asked us to turn it into this amazing table top.
We dried it, milled it, sanded it, poured resin, milled it, sanded it, and sanded it some more...and ta daaaaaa.... we now have this absolutely incredible tabletop.
We used Carribean Blue Resin to fill the voids and every tiny split and crack. We kept the colour strong to give it depth, but in the light, the blue offers some transparency in the bigger spaces, showing the natural edges like a cliff top on an ocean.
We loved what the story this timber told us.

Did someone say Spalted Tamarind? This beautiful blonde piece of timber has been finished with jet black resin to the splits and cracks, complimenting the natural black accents already in the slab. With a groove routed to the outer edge, this jumbo sized board is ready for the next piece of meat from the smoker, or change it up and use it for brie and bread.

How they started vs how they finished!
Building these pieces was a real pleasure.
Tasked with making a desk with a live edge, we were able to find this amazing slab at Townsvillecreativetimbers that fit the bill. Awesome curves with great grain this piece of Raintree just said desk to us!
With this vision in kind, we got to creating this one of a kind desk with matching shelf. Splashes of Carribean Blue Resin pop nicely in the worm holes and knots.
Our amazing clients also had an old piece of timber they had picked up locally that they wanted to convert into a small matching desk. Who knew under all that stain, it hid this amazing colour. With a little encouragement, a naturally formed split opened to a full crack that we used to make the river of resin. Colour matched to the bigger desk, we used the same Carribean Blue Resin with outstanding result.
