We have a little thief at the paddock...

Some of you know we have a resident bower bird, and he is making his home nice and pretty for the ladies... at my expense.

I noticed some of my very special fidgets missing, so I decided to go looking. I wasn't sure if it was my 2 resident crows or Mr Bower. Turns out Mr B likes purple and silver... I guess he can borrow them (he has them tucked away well under a prickly chonkee apple bush).

Cheeky little bu**er...

When we take away what we expect an outcome to look like, through being present and aware of our moment to moment experience, we become witness to some truly beautiful moments.

Is life a maze or a labyrinth???

A maze has multiple paths and directions, where you may get lost and stuck, not being able to ever find your way out.

Whereas a labyrinth is a single continuous path that leads you to the centre as long as you keep going forward.

We reflected in our group session on how through recovery, we can get to the centre by just taking small steps every day.

What another powerful grounding and meditative experience!

We did it!!!

We are a FINALIST in the Social Responsibility category!!!

30/07/2024

1 sleep to go to find out if we are a FINALIST in the Townsville Chamber of Commerce business awards in the category of Social Responsibility.

To even be nominated for such an award is an absolute HONOUR!

To all of those that have supported and continue to support my business, I thank each and every one of you. Participants, parents, care givers and those that have sponsored in different ways. You are the reason I get up every day and continue sharing my message of connection, kindness and trust.

I'm sure to keep you posted tomorrow night either way.

There is nothing more special than seeing clients work through challenges whilst learning new skills!

Never have I heard anyone say 'cleaning out hooves is fun'!!!

My client was curious about a hoof pick and how it worked. I could have told them and left it at that, however I observed their curiosity and willingness to give it a go. To see them so proud of their achievement and sharing this with their parents at the end of their session shows the power of being in the present and empowering personal growth and development.

Last night Oracle and I went and tried our hand at a horsesports event in the novice class for something a little different.

Those of you that know me well know I like to spend time just sitting in the dirt, and that's exactly what I did! An involuntary dismount gave me time to just observe the sand in the arena.

My observation from that experience is..., sand is not that soft to land on, it is very grainy and can get in places you had no idea it could!!!

Thankfully I'm just a little stiff and sore today and with some rest and relaxation I'm sure I will be fine!

Photos from Pynmanto Equine Encounters's post 27/07/2024

I think today was 'sleepy saturday'.

As I finished with my clients I observed Oracle lay down, followed by Comanche and then Peaches also joined in.

I had lots of chores to do, but decided to take a chair out and spend some time holding space as they slept. It was the best 'wasted' 45 minutes ever. To hear Comanche and Oracle snoring was awesome, knowing they felt safe to take a mid day siesta.

I got to snuggle with both Oracle and Peaches, with Oracle even putting his head in my lap!

I'm learning to not worry about the 'stuff', but really honouring the present and the special moments gifted to me.

Such a proud moment when one of my regular clients has started riding lessons with another amazing woman in business. To see them grow and work through challenges to be able to do this even when the horse frustrates them is a HUGE achievement. I'm so blessed to be part of their growth journey!

Last week this client said one day they hoped they could ride with me, and today they got their wish!!! I was fortunate to be able to tag along for their lesson between my own clients ❤️

What another powerful weekly group session...

Today the clients shared their challenges in group discussion they face as part of their recovery journey. Pathways and direction were the agreed challenge, and the invitation was to firstly explore that through creativity. What each individual drew and shared in the discussion was beautiful.

Every single week this group touches me in ways I never expected.

We then ventured out with the herd to explore pathways with the horses and where they got stuck, what felt easy and their patterns.

Another amazing day on the job!

Exploring flow...

Sometimes it's easy in life to flow, whilst other times we get caught in spaces we feel we can't get out of.

It was interesting exploring flow through creative practice, noticing the changes in our body when we could no longer flow along easily.

Just allowing whatever came up to be placed down on paper.

Exploring different textures in the mediums we worked with. What felt nice and what was not so nice.

There is no right or wrong way to explore, just give it a go!

Last night I spent the evening with my lovely friend Kellie camped at the paddock. What a stunning sunset we experienced together, along with a beautiful fire. The time flew as we chatted late into the night.

It reminded me of the importance of connection, and taking time out for yourself to marvel in nature. The full moon lit up the paddock! It was just glorious.

I really am so very blessed ❤️ and this experience filled my cup. Often we forget to just take time out to be, not 'do'.

Take time for you, and be present in every moment, you might just be surprised at how that can be the best support.

22/07/2024

Got myself a new 'paddock' cup!

I saw it and was like 'yes'!

Such a powerful message to just be, let it be, be in the moment, and be present as I sip my afternoon tea in nature. 🐝 🐝 🐝

I captured this beautiful moment of a client and Peaches on the weekend during one of my sessions.

Seeing any of the herd members feel safe enough in our presence to take a nap laying down really warms my heart ❤️

Supporting my client at the Queensland Training Awards NQ.

20/07/2024

This morning one of my young clients shared about his excitement to be with the herd today.

We sat together and created this map of what happens when he gets excited... things he likes to do, things that he notices happen in his body and things he can do to support calmness within himself.

What a super cool way to explore emotions and body sensations!

19/07/2024

When the mornings are this cool, why not have a fire first thing. It's not something in FNQ we get to experience that often, so I'm going to enjoy every moment of it before its gone!

Letting Go: A Fresh Start

Yesterday, I did something I’ve been thinking about for a while—I cut off about 10 inches of my hair. 💇‍♀️ It may seem like a simple change, but for me, it symbolizes something much deeper.

We often hold onto things that make us feel secure, yet sometimes, these same things can keep us stuck. Whether it’s physical objects, old habits, or even thoughts and feelings, holding on can prevent us from moving forward and experiencing growth.

My long hair was one of those things. It was familiar, comfortable, and felt like a part of me. But I realized it was time for a change. By letting go of those 10 inches, I’m embracing a fresh start, shedding what no longer serves me, and opening up space for new opportunities and experiences.

Letting go isn’t always easy, but it’s a powerful step towards personal growth and transformation. It’s about trusting the process, releasing what weighs us down, and allowing ourselves to step into a new chapter with a lighter, freer spirit.

What are you holding onto that might be keeping you stuck? Sometimes, the most liberating thing we can do is simply let go.

Yesterday's group session really touched me, and clearly the participants and each individual horse.

We started our time with the horses doing a mindful movement and chant, with the horses doing 'their own thing'. What I witnessed was truly spectacular! Participants walking by themselves, paying attention to their own experience, and the horses slowly 1 by 1 joined in behind them.

Here are some beautiful moments of connection.

My heart is warm, and it is a reminder of the power of interactions with nature and the herd ❤️

Im sitting snuggled up at home thinking about the impact i experienced throughout todays sessions. Im working to support some absolutely wonderful participants weekly from St Vincent de Paul, and let me tell you its an absolute honour.

It's gotten me thinking about what I've needed as part of my support tools, and I think this picture sums it up! Bright colours, creativity, nature, horses and fidget/sensory toys.

What supports you?

I just found myself marvelling in this beautiful bowl...

There is just something special about bowls made from wood, filled with gifts from nature and items that have been repurposed.

It feels like a bowl of calm ❤️
