🔥 Conquering the Ladder Set Challenge, Rep by Rep, Weight by Weight! 🔥 Here's a challenging ladder set that you can complete in our functional area here at @snapfitness_aitkenvale 🏋️‍♀️ Kicked things off with 2 reps of: ✅ Squats ✅ Sumo Deadlifts ✅ Bent Over Rows ✅ Push Ups, ✅ V-ups ✅ Ski Erg (calories). Mobility exercises for desk workers
🪑✨ If you sit at a desk for extended periods, our Exercise Physiologist Sean is here to show you some essential stretching exercises you can do at home or in the gym to help improve your mobility. 🏋️‍♂️🔥 1. Thoracic spine extension on foam roller - make sure to keep bum on the ground, allow back to extend gently over foam roller while supporting head with your hands. 2. Supine piriformis stretch - actively pull your bottom leg towards yourself to increase the intensity of the stretch. 3. Child's pose - keep your bum in contact with your heels while sporadically trying to reach finger tips further forwards. 4. Kneeling hip flexor stretch - actively contract the glute of the trail leg throughout the entirety of the stretch. 5. Cat/cow - make sure to tuck your chin as you arch your back, and to extend the chin when flattening your back. 6. Supine wall angels - ensure lower back remains in contact with the ground as we want to improve shoulder mobility independent of any other joints.
