I am VERY excited to announce that I have a new and unique product! I’ve called it H**p Promega as it’s protein + omega fatty acids (see what I did there?). I have worked closely with some local h**p growers to get it right, and I think I might be the only one making something exactly like this!

Promega is h**p meal which is SUPER high in protein and essential amino acids, but the really great thing is that extra h**p oil has been added to the meal, so it contains about 25% h**p oil!

Most h**p products contain around 20% protein, and maybe 20% oil, but Inside Out Equine Health’s new h**p product contains approximately 30% protein and 25% oil! This means that you’re getting all the benefits of a high quality protein and amino acids AND the anti-inflammatory benefits of the oil, all in the one product!

H**p is becoming popular in the equine community for its protein and omega fatty acid profile. It's comparable in its profile to soy, so a brilliant alternative for those not keen on soy.

H**p oil also contains the Omega 6 fatty acid, gamma- linolenic acid (GLA), a compound not frequently found in food. It offers excellent anti-inflammatory properties, immune support, and is gaining popularity as a diet addition for insulin resistant (IR) equines.

Compared to flaxseed oil, h**p seed oil provides a lower amount of omega-3 but as mentioned above, it contains that somewhat unique anti-inflammatory GLA that is not found in flaxseed or other oils/seeds commonly fed to horses.

H**p is really palatable and easy to use - how much you feed depends on the horse; its condition, size, workload, health status, and why you’re feeding it, but somewhere between 100gms-300gms per day is right for most horses.

For the next two weeks only, I’m selling the 2.4kgs of the new h**p product in 2.4kg bags for $25 (so they can easily be posted). Alternatively you can buy in bulk for $165 per 20kg bag. These prices will increase on the 1st of May.

I’m still selling regular h**p meal for $15 per 2.4kg or 20kgs for $100, but these prices will also increase on May 1st so get in quick! This contains about 34% protein and 11% oil.

This h**p is Australia grown and owned, it comes from a family business and it’s absolutely chemical free. The people who are growing this h**p are as passionate about it as I am about nutrition. I like supporting them as it’s more than just a business for them.
