What an Awesome Presentation Night @ 2024 4WD Central TGFC Barra Bash
With a New Record Calcutta, Record Raffle sales, and so many awesome prizes to Competing Anglers, it certainly was a night to remember.

With Day 2 of Fishing over in the “4WD Central TGFC Barra Bash, we’re now at the serious end with all our Presentation and last night of raffles. Haven’t seen an, as awesome display of prizes and giveaways, at any other Comp such as this. Thank you to all the Sponsor’s and Product Suppliers that makes this event so awesome year and year out.

“4WD Central TGFC Barra Bash”,
Fishing Day 1, saw 257 Barra Caught (not including upgrades) with Biggest Barra measuring 90cm. Few other Barra around 85cm registered, but quite a few bigger specimens on the “One that got away” storyline.
11 Teams have reached their 10 Barra Limit and have already started upgrading.
Biggest Barra went 90cm,
Biggest Flathead went 71cm,
Biggest M/Jack went 47cm,
Biggest Fingermark went 49cm,
Biggest Salmon went 62cm,
Biggest Grunter went 43cm,
Biggest Bream went 30cm,
Biggest Cod went 52.
Biggest Trevally went 52.
Another big Fishing Day tomorrow will see some big numbers caught and might even see some bigger models cross the Brag Mats.

Jordyn Beetham tagged and released a nice juvenile black marlin on Saturday while out fishing on the families boat Beeline. Jordy said it would’ve been a nice size fish for one of her little sisters to fight as their first billfish and hopefully we would see another soon.

You are amazing Jordy! Not only are you out there reeling them in, but we love how excited you are to see your sisters tag and release their first billfish. When that day comes we know you’ll be behind them giving advice and cheering them on. What true Sharkies’ spirit! 🎣🤩

If you saw Bangalee on the water over the weekend then there is no doubt that you saw Will Travers sitting out on the back deck, rigging baits, working hard and keeping an eye on all of the lines. Will’s time on the water paid off when he tagged and released a nice black marlin in the afternoon.

Will then fished throughout the night while the crew was on anchor at the Reef with other club boats. Will encouraged and helped other Sharkies onboard to bait hooks and get a line wet, even passing his own rod off for others to have a turn. He fished the reef until bedtime and as soon as the sun was up so was Will … doing it all again.

What an absolute legend!! Well done mate! 🎣🤩
