In addition to servicing their Yamaha StagePas, we recently supplied a simple and reliable Shure Wireless mic system for Herbert River Jockey Club Inc. Their faulty microphone was on the old radio frequencies, but the final nail is the coffin was leaky batteries. 🔋☣️

📣 Please folks, remember to remove batteries from your gear before storage.

Keelan recently traveled to Melbourne to attend the Entech Roadshow. Lots of new products, plus industry news, training and of course, networking.

🎤 Does your club/school/church etc have an old wireless microphone system that's playing up? Dropping out, crackling or even picking up interference?

🎙 "Digital Dividend". This term is well known to those in the industry, but there are still end-users unaware of the changes.

📺 In 2015 there were wholesale changes to the wireless spectrum to facilitate the introduction of Free-To-Air Digital TV. This "Restack" of frequencies means that your old Wireless mic may operate using restricted or in-use frequencies.

⚠️ This can cause the previously mentioned issues, but also interfere with emergency services, and even be illegal to operate.
