Start the NQ cricket season with a 💥 Meet Brisbane Heat stars Michael Neser and Sianna Ginger at Queensland Country Bank Stadium's Northern Green in Townsville on August 19 between 430pm and 630pm. There'll also be giveaways, games, club registrations, Heater - Brisbane's BBL and WBBL mascot and much, much more! Entrance via Rooney St.

Queensland Cricket is excited to announce they will be running a Women and Girl’s Community Coaching Course on Thursday, the 22nd of August. This course is a great opportunity for any Mum’s, upcoming female players (14+), or existing coaches wanting to undertake a course refresher with other likeminded Mums, daughters and female cricket enthusiasts! Completing this course will give participants the tools, knowledge, and confidence to create a fun learning environment to develop the next generation of cricketers in North Queensland.

For anyone who is wanting to obtain further coaching accreditation, such as the Advanced Coaching Course (to be run later in 2024), they must have completed their Community Coaching Course prior.

We have also voted to keep our Wanderers Fees the same for another year. So huge thanks goes to the hard working volunteers behind the scenes creating modest revenue to allow us to keep cricket affordable for our players and families.

With the growth and on field success of our Womens/Girls Cricket Program at Wanderers, we have passed a motion to add the Executive position of Women’s Vice President. We will be seeking nominations for this position over the next two weeks. Please forward your nomination for this new role to either Dave Stanley or myself by COB Friday 16 August 2024, as we will be voting on this position at our scheduled club meeting.

Sincere appreciation to everyone who has volunteered and contributed in the past 12 months for our proud club and looking forward to increasing our volunteer base and player numbers again in 2024/2025.
