One of our guests had a few bites this morning, but didn’t land anything worthwhile. He’s a true fisherman, so undoubtedly will be out again tomorrow!

Have you been lucky enough to experience Cockle Bay Falls after heavy rain in our wet season? With a backdrop of granite boulders and vibrant green trees, the falls offer a stream of cool refreshing water to stand under, as well as a rock pool to sit in.

Glorious blue skies again, now Cyclone Kirrily has moved away from Magnetic. Electricity is restored, any debris has been cleaned up, the resort’s pool is sparkling and we are pleased to announce, we have re-opened today. Our heartfelt thanks to everyone who sent us messages in the lead up to as well as after, the cyclone.

Our rock wallabies on the breakwater wall haven’t been too impressed with the recent stormy weather. However at least a visiting die-hard kitesurfer has enjoyed himself.

After a busy festive season, relax and unwind for a few nights at Island Palms Resort. Magnetic Island has 23 beautiful bays & beaches to explore. Here are 4, located close to us… Nelly Bay, Rocky Bay, Picnic Bay and West Point.

Thank goodness Cyclone Jasper has finally dissipated. Banjo can now enjoy his morning beach walk & swim, without fear of being blown away.

Enjoy a Christmas getaway to Magnetic Island. Glorious sunrises, delightful sandy beaches, dozens of walking tracks with rewarding views, keep a look out for cute local wildlife and end the day with magical sunsets … a wonderful break away from the hustle and bustle of normal life

Take advantage of our last minute availability and enjoy our spectacular sunrises.
Amble along the foreshore towards Rocky Bay, borrow our SUP or kayak for a morning paddle, greet the cute rock wallabies at the breakwater, or wander Harbourside to admire the yachts & boats. After a morning walk, why not relax on your balcony or beside the pool then work out what to do for the rest of the day?

Horseshoe Bay Butterfly Walk. Pictures were taken over a few months so we could get different butterflies, with the bonus of Jackfruit and Prickly Custard Apple Trees fruiting in late September!

Magical Monday sunrise, followed by a terrific Tuesday sunrise. Will Mother Nature present us with a wonderful Wednesday sunrise tomorrow? Let’s see shall we!

Sphinx Lookout on Magnetic, is a 1.3km walk from the Endeavour Road car park. From the top, you’ll be rewarded with lovely 180 degree views over Arcadia, across the water and on to Nelly Bay, but due to its steepness, suggest you walk it in the morning. It’s only a small section of the Nelly Bay to Horseshoe Bay track, but can be done separately.

Magical lunchtime sail on Pilgrim. Truly enjoyed every minute. Delicious food, delightful bubbles and a picture perfect day with the bluest of blue skies.

Did anyone notice the unusual sand patterns on Nelly Bay beach this morning? Quite different to normal, as the coarse sand was at the waters edge forming unique patterns, profiles & ridges, with the finer sand further away. The waves gently lapped against the shore, ensuring a tranquil start to the day for any early morning walkers

360 Magnetic Island boat tour circumnavigates the island in 2hrs and gave our Island Palms guests a look at secluded beaches, rocky outcrops, glistening blue water etc, while hearing information about the island itself.
