It's been a busy week prepping the river trays after demoulding for Part 2 DIY: ✅️ Skimming down both sides level ✅️ Rounding over the top edge so the resin wants to flow over the side evenly ✅️Topcoat pour to make it gloss. Then Most importantly: ✅️Popping the bubbles to give that glass finish. Waiting patiently now for it to cure adequately to apply handles to finish of these serving trays for our participants. The most important step to prep timber for a river table is to do a brush coat with clear epoxy & let set before doing your first pour! This seals the timber which avoids excessive air bubbles being release & getting trapped in the resin layers. It also reveals the colour change of the timber as often timber becomes darker with a clear coat. Does anyone know where this specific unique bench has ended up?
