Physiotherapy is back at the Sporting Wheelies Para Clubhouse in Milton!

Experienced Spinal Life Australia Physiotherapists Linda and Shannon are now available for appointments on Wednesdays and Thursdays.

Linda and Shannon passionate about supporting you to reach your full potential, by developing a unique and personalised plan to reach your goals. Where required, they’ll work closely with Sporting Wheelies’ Exercise Physiologists to best support your health and wellness.

It's National Volunteer Week this week (20 to 26 May 2024) and we're taking a moment to recognise our incredible volunteers at Sporting Wheelies.

Sandra Wortlehock is a long-time volunteer with Sporting Wheelies, providing invaluable support with scoring and timekeeping for events, with plans to become a Boccia referee in future.

“I don’t sit still well, and I have volunteered my whole life, starting with St John Ambulance as a teenager,” Sandra says.

“I have dragged in multiple of my friends, with the sentence ‘once you get in, you get hooked’.

“I enjoy the friendships I have made, the smiles and laughter we share, and the admiration of the athletes.”

Sandra also helps at charity Christmas wrapping stalls at her local shopping centre.

Sporting Wheelies is proud to be supporting the Queensland Comets in the upcoming Women’s National Wheelchair Basketball League (WNWBL).

Congratulations to all athletes named on the Sporting Wheelies Queensland Comets team. The team will play in the upcoming Women’s National Wheelchair Basketball League (WNWBL).

The WNWBL will commence in June, with the QLD round of the tournament taking place on July 13 & 14 at Logan Leisure Centre, Mt Warren Park.
