2023.
It has been a hectic year with scheduled education and training, additional regulations, new products, changing clinic systems, introducing a new device, and a few unexpected health issues along the way.
I am thankful for your support and loyalty, and I am honoured to have your trust and friendships.
Thank you for choosing Suppelle!

Merry.
Peace, love and happiness shared with family and friends makes my Christmas merry.
What makes you merry?
Merry Christmas.
This woven paper heart is a traditional Danish Christmas decoration. The oldest preserved heart dates back to 1860.
In Danish, Merry Christmas is Glædelig Jul, or simply God Jul.
Why is a Danish decoration important to me?
My Granny was Danish and a handmade heart, woven with love, is a pretty special decoration.
Christmas is a beautiful reminder to be generous with our love and support for each other.
❤️
Merry Christmas.
⭐️🎄
I hope your Christmas is bursting with love and happiness!
Thank you for your loyalty and support x
Treatments.
At Suppelle, treatment plans are customised to each person.
Treatment options include:
• non-surgical cosmetic procedures, and
• skin care.
Treatments may be a single approach or a combination of options, with thoughtful consideration given to expected outcomes, appropriate sequencing, and personal budgets.
Treatment options + choices.
Because medical procedures carry inherent risks, it is important to think carefully about cosmetic treatments that affect the appearance and function of your face and body.
Choices.
Cosmetic procedures are considered elective medical procedures.
After a consultation including assessment, education and quote, you will be able to ask questions and consider the following options:
• a cooling off period to contemplate details
• to seek alternative treatments
• a single or combination of procedures
• product selection
• when to proceed
• appt dates/times, or
• to decline treatment.
The FitzPatrick Scale.
The FitzPatrick Scale classifies skin by the amount of melanin pigment present, and how it reacts to sun exposure.
The features and tanning ability of skin are categorized into 6 types, from light to dark skin.
DermNet: FitzPatrick Skin Types.
www.dermnetnz.org/topics/skin-phototype
FitzPatrick Skin Types.
What skin type are you?
Skin type I
• Pale white skin, blue/green eyes, blonde/red hair
• Always burns, does not tan.
Skin type II
• Fair skin, blue eyes
• Burns easily, tans poorly.
Skin type III
• Darker white skin
• Tans after initial burn.
Skin type IV
• Light brown skin
• Burns minimally, tans easily.
Skin type V
• Brown skin
• Rarely burns, tans darkly easily.
Skin type VI
• Dark brown or black skin
• Never burns, always tans darkly.
DermNet: FitzPatrick Skin Types.

FitzPatrick Skin Types.
Why is your skin type important?
Pale white skin that burns easily, tans slowly and poorly, needs more protection against sun exposure to reduce damage and premature ageing.
Darker skin that burns less and tans more easily, is also more prone to develop post inflammatory hyperpigmentation (PIH) after injury (brown marks).
These skin characteristics help to determine appropriate skin care, and the necessary precautions for nonsurgical treatment options such as injectables, microneedling, and radiofrequency.
Scar Reduction with Radio Frequency.
In addition to skin tightening,
Radio Frequency is indicated for improving:
• acne scars
• stretch marks
• surgical scars.
Raised or keloid scars cannot be treated with radio frequency.
Some scars may require combination treatments with other modalities. Referrals to other Medical Practitioners may be necessary.
Acne Scars.
Radio Frequency is indicated for improving ice pick, atrophic boxcar, and rolling acne scars.

Scar Reduction.
It is important to note that scars can only be improved. Scars cannot be completely removed.
Raised or keloid scars cannot be treated with radio frequency.
Radio Frequency (RF)
Radio Frequency technology applies heat with precisely controlled radio waves, to specific depths in the skin via gold-plated micro-needles.
RF micro-needling has multiple treatment applications for:
• skin tightening
• enlarged pores
• stretch marks
• acne and surgical scars (not keloid scars)
• hyperhidrosis (excessive sweating), and
• spider veins.
RF micro-needling is suitable for all skin types, using adjustable parameters.
Please ask in clinic for further details and assessment for treatment suitability and safety.
Suppelle has a Secret!
Radio Frequency.
Skin Tightening.
Multiple layer treatments with Fractional Radio Frequency (RF) are effective for the face, neck, décolletage, hands and other body parts.
Fractional RF is indicated for:
• skin tightening
• stimulating collagen and elastin
• improving skin tone and texture
• wrinkle reduction
• reducing pore size
• acne scars
• scar reduction
• reducing the appearance of stretch marks
• spider veins/thread veins
• hyperhidrosis.
Realistic Expectations.
Under the right conditions, non-surgical cosmetic treatments are able to:
• improve skin texture and tone
• minimise fine lines and wrinkles
• address volume loss
• balance facial proportions and symmetry
• soften the appearance of some scars
• reduce the appearance of spider veins.
Cosmetic treatments cannot
• guarantee a job offer
• rekindle relationships
• give the same results as surgery
• change your personality traits
• change your anatomy
• match filtered photographs.
Understanding your expectations prior to discussing treatment options is important so that the best outcome is safely achieved.
When you look into a mirror, are you kind or a critic?
What is your favourite feature?
Post in the comments below, I’ll start.
Expectations.
Prior to your consultation, the Cosmetic Readiness Questionnaire assesses clients for
• body dysmorphia
• personal stress
• self criticism, and
• perfectionism traits.
This information helps to guide discussions about motivations for treatment and if cosmetic procedures are able to achieve your expectations.
If cosmetic treatments are suitable, details of your treatment options will be discussed.
If not suitable, recommendations and referrals can be made to other health professionals that may offer services better aligned with your goals.
NOvember.
There are times when I say no to clients based on medical ethics, safety considerations, and treatment limitations. I will always explain reasons why so that you are well informed.
Did you know you also have patient rights:
• to be given the opportunity to ask questions
• to take as much time as you need to consider your treatment options
• to decline treatment/s.
You have the right to say “No thanks”.
A well informed decision is the best decision you can make.
And that decision is okay with me.
