After a few weeks of delay due to trainer injury, we finally reached our graduation for the May scallywags class. Kolby enjoyed the undivided attention of his mum and his trainer and graduated in style. He massively improved with his stay, his roll over/lie down, he learnt the scratch board, touch, head rest and many more tricks. Keep learning Kolby!

Hey, how much training is being done here?!

Our beautiful friend Kolby is both a patient and a student, having graduated preschool and now completing his adolescent training course. Not only is this course great for brushing up on basic doggie life skills, but it also focuses on building confidence and cooperation in the vet clinic - a useful skill for the frequent flyers as well as the Annual Vaccinations Club.
Kolby did a lot of learning last night then finished off with some snuggles from his trainer, Dr Anita. A great way to wind down after all his hard work.

💡We're having urgent power repairs done at the clinic this morning that may affect our phones. If you have trouble getting through to us and are able to delay your call a little we will help as soon as we can. We should only be affected for a short time after 8am. Thanks for your patience!

Mando says happy Fri-yay!

This handsome fella had a sleepover at the clinic in preparation for his “big day” today (✂️) so of course, we had to give him a little extra loving this morning. Mando had some cuddles, a romp around the yard, and a soak in the sunrise to help calm the nerves. Don’t worry buddy, we know you’ll do great today!

Happy graduation to this mixed bag of lollies! All of my little friends did wonderfully throughout this course, and there were so many sweet friendships despite the differing ages, breeds and sizes. I am so proud of how far they have come and I was lucky to have such great company for the last four weeks… puppies and owners alike! Scroll through to meet the latest Tuesday crew.

Oh My! How delightful is baby Bindi? We had the pleasure of meeting her today for her very first vet visit. Though she is tiny, Bindi was very brave and got lots of fussing and cuddles. It would be impossible not to with that adorable face!

Please take a moment to marvel at these cute little graduates. From the smallest dog breed in the world to one of the largest… this class sure was diverse! I am so proud of all puppies and owners. From the shy puppies learning to be brave, to the exuberant puppies learning to settle - each team worked hard to learn and grow. Thanks for a phenomenal course, everybody! A (somewhat) familiar face!

We’ve known Mikey since he was a little 8 week old potato, and this clever cookie has graduated both our puppy preschool and adolescent training classes. Today Mikey visited us after losing a fight with a bug, and we barely recognised him! Luckily his puffy face is on the mend, and he was more than happy to relax in the clinic whilst we made sure his medication was working. Don’t worry Mikey, your good looks will be back in no time!

This terrific terrier is Jack, we first met him when he was 12 weeks old… he is now 12 YEARS old!
Jack was in a scary ordeal earlier this month where he was attacked by another dog. Luckily his owner raced right in to save Jack. Despite his injuries Jack was still a sweet, cooperative patient and recovered quickly. He popped in today for his vaccination, still as sweet as ever, and well dressed in his little bow tie. What a handsome angel 🥹

“All this learning is great, but it’s past my bedtime now”

I know how to take a hint when preschool is nearing the end of class! Baby Winston worked hard on mastering his training, showed off his WWE and parkour moves with his friends, had a nibble on his chewy treat, then called it a night.
Was I done teaching? Nope.
Was Winnie done learning? Looks like it (those crossed paws!!).
We’ll pick up where we left off next week, Winnie!

How do my teef look?

Elffie takes pride in that gleaming grin, which is why we saw her yesterday for a routine scale and polish. Her teeth are now spotless and she’s free to show off that flashy smile wherever she goes. Keep smiling, Elffie!

Check out this 10/10 good boy!
Axel is a proud member of the Gentle Giants Committee, and holds his title very seriously. He sat calmly and patiently for his blood test and heartworm needle, then very respectfully took the handful of treats offered to him.
Pleasure doing business with you, Axel!

Needle? No problem!

Lord Spencer (yes, his legal name) visited the clinic yesterday for a booster jab. We love having Spencey visit due to his sweet personality, his forgiving nature, and of course that million dollar smile. Spencer was paid generously in snacks for his cooperation with said needle along with his modelling work. Thanks for brightening our day, LS!

Good morning sunshine 😍
It’s hard not to be excited for work when faces like these are what greet you! This is our hospital patient, Ciri, and her hobbies include:
Being fed treats
Demanding pats by using physical force
Staring into your soul from the window seat

Ciri is feeling much better after her stay at the vets and is expected to go home very soon.

We had a stellar line up today with these cute kids! Ollie, Marlo and Elke are all 6-7 month old tweenagers who came in for their spey and neuter procedures. Each of these pups were delightful patients and won the hearts of the whole clinic. Thanks for brightening our day, puppies!

We hope you enjoyed our lovely scallywags earlier, can we now interest you in some scrumptious preschoolers?
Each week brought so much joy to both puppies and parents (and teacher!) alike. Not only did we all have a blast, but these babies grew in confidence, personality, and improved their social skills tenfold. Well done puppies, I hope to see you all around. ❤️

Check out this adorable round of scallywags! These teenagers all graduated last night with smiles on their faces and lots of useful skills to use in the real world. CALLING ALL CAT LOVERS

Dropping this pic in your feeds simply to tempt you…

Sassy and Pippa are kittens looking for their forever homes through one of our nurses who rescued them as teeny tiny wildlings off the street. They have been reformed and now live a life of luxury, with playful and sweet personalities and oodles of love to give. Sass and Pip can be adopted as a pair or individually, and will be microchipped, vaccinated, wormed, desexed and up to date with flea and tick prevention.

Sassy (the grey baby) is congenitally blind in one eye, which requires no veterinary treatment and is not causing any harm. It does mean she makes a good pirate for Halloween.

Send us a message or call the clinic on 47734111 to find out more!

Happy Tuesday!

Kisses, cuddles and handshakes from our very handsome friend, Hugo. Yes, that is peanut butter on his nose - because we pay our patients in snacks for their cooperation 🤪
Come visit again soon good boy!

This little group of goofballs had me smiling so much my cheeks hurt tonight, what a fun graduation we had! Aside from all of the shenanigans, this class made me proud with their beautiful social skills, their confidence, and their improved impulse control. I am disappointed that I don’t get to hang out with them all again next week! Scroll through for a summary on each fantastic student.

Holding out for this long weekend like…

He may not be a big bunny but we think he’s equally as cute, even if he doesn’t bring us chocolate! This little possum was found after having an altercation with a pooch, but luckily escaped unscathed. He was much more concerned about being “jailed” in the transport cage. Mr Possum was checked over by a vet, given a clean bill of health, and released. Don’t breach your bail by tussling with another Fido, little friend!

There’s something about a Labrador cuddle!

Lovely Diamond came in for her spey procedure today, and didn’t pass up the opportunity to have a snuggle and some loving from our staff. Those big brown eyes and happy waggy tail are what make labradors so irresistible! Feel better soon Diamond, thanks for being the best girl in the whole world.

PS Diamond is sporting one of our body suits instead of a cone to protect her stitches. We think she looks adorable. 😍

The perfect cure for Mondayitis 😍

Dr Monica has been seeing this gorgeous litter of Airedales to get them ready for their forever homes. It’s a tough gig fussing over 12 cheeky terriers, but someone’s gotta do it!
Rumour has it some of these kiddos are still searching for their new families… 👀
