JERSEY BOYS opened last night at The Princess Theatre, Launceston.

It’s been a big tech and rehearsal week working with Encore Theatre Company and the result is spectacular.

Here we are bringing together three technical and creative forces from left to right, Jason Bovaird (Lighting Designer - MLP Productions), Marcello Lo Ricco (Sound Designer - LSS Productions), Jake Sipcic (Sound Operator/Head Of Sound - LSS Productions), Kevan Atkins (Projection - CVP).

Tonight the culmination of a years work opens tonight in Launceston at the Princess Theatre of Encore Theatre Company’s production of JERSEY BOYS. This is by far the largest technical show they have done with over 300 projection cues and 635 lighting cues. Moving Light Productions teamed up with Australia’s musical theatre projection company CVP to create a stunning array of seamless projections fully mapped (supplied by CLOC Theatre Company) entwined with lighting cues all triggered by an ETC 6k ION console.
Add in sublime sound design by Marcello Lo Ricco and the team at LSS Productions the Tasmanian Premiere awaits to open tonight.

The team at Moving Light Productions have had another successful production of MAMMA MIA staged by one of their school clients CATHOLIC REGIONAL COLLEGE, CAROLINE SPRINGS.

The team at Moving Light Productions has last week opened the Victorian Premiere of "ANASTASIA - THE MUSICAL" for Emmaus College. MLP provided the vision installation, vison programming, mapping along with the lighting design and largest lighting rig for a school production in Victoria.

Our led screens on the show consisted of a 8 mtre x 5.5mtre high rear led wall and 2 x 3.5mtre high x 2mtre wide Led Walls on the side behind the windows. Control for the Led walls was run by 3 processors and the mapping was run by a Mac Mini 2022 version.

The lighting rig consisted of

(St Aloysius College, Nth Melbourne)

The team at Moving Light Productions Australia has had a busy July already with a wonderful production week of St Aloyisus College in Nth Melbourne production of ALADDIN JR. MLP provided a 5 mtre x 3.5mtre LED WALL at the rear of the stage run by QLab System. They also provided the moving light package of 12 LED ART 200 spots 24 Led Cans ETC ION Console 1 x HZ Hazer and a Antari Low Fogger.

We also installed full staging with 800ml risers and steps.

Moving Light Productions Australia In September will be fitting out lighting for the new theatrette in the building of the newly built last year THE VICTORIAN PRIDE CENTRE in St Kilda. This is a Victorian State Government project that was commissioned. The commissioning of this will take place in September ready to be in full swing for the MELBOURNE FRINGE FESTIVAL in OCTOBER.
This will be Moving Lights 5th major lighting install in a venue in Victoria.

"NEWSIES JRN" ( Australian Premiere)

The team at Moving Light Productions on the weekend designed the Australian Premiere of "NEWSIES JRN - The Musical. Lighting Designer Jason Bovaird chose to use the The Drum Theatre Standard lighting rig with an MLP Floor Package. A massive thnakyou must go to Chris Junior LeMiere for his assistance from the Drum Theatre and MLP Staff members Jack Jones and Blaise Cosme for the install.
