As announced earlier, you are invited to our Perjumpaan Raya and Annual General Meeting 2024 this Saturday, the 22 June 2024 at 1pm.

It will be our greatest pleasure to meet the community who have been supporting us throughout the years. And what better way than to celebrate with an Eid Community Feast as food always brings people together on so many different levels.

We are also honoured to have with us Br Jazeer Nizamudeen (𝘢 𝘞𝘺𝘯𝘥𝘩𝘢𝘮 𝘊𝘰𝘶𝘯𝘤𝘪𝘭 𝘌𝘭𝘦𝘤𝘵𝘰𝘳𝘢𝘵𝘦 𝘊𝘢𝘯𝘥𝘪𝘥𝘢𝘵𝘦 𝘧𝘰𝘳 𝘉𝘦𝘮𝘪𝘯 𝘞𝘢𝘳𝘥) to talk to us about the upcoming council elections, to raise awareness of what it means to us Muslims and to also start looking out on which candidates to vote for. Definitely something that should concern us here.

This upcoming AGM will also provide an opportunity for us to show you how the organisation has been doing financially mainly through the community’s generous donations and invaluable support. Apart from sharing our plans for the future, we are also keen to hear suggestions and feedbacks from you as we strive to do better as an organisation that’s been set up to serve the community and its growing needs. So come down and let your voices heard and be a part of this small but growing community.

To welcome the blessed month of Dhulhijjah, and inspired by the viral Fajr event in Singapore & Malaysia, Anak Muda Vic & AMF are organising the (Melbourne Edition)!

Come and support our first Fajr event at the Hub! We will begin the morning with Qiyam, then Fajr prayers, lead by our imam muda, Qasim Ibrahim. Ustaz Hj Khirahman will then give us a soul-nourishing tazkirah before we enjoy breakfast together! (you are welcome to bring a plate to share)

All are invited, families are welcome! Apart from setting our day with baraqah and spiritual benefits, getting outside first thing in the morning can do wonders for our physical and mental health, In Sha Allah.

PicnEID photos Part 2

Alhamdulillah, we are truly blessed to be able to gather in the luscious greens of Werribee Mansion Gardens this Eid. The sentimental melody of the takbir echoed throughout, capturing the heartfelt and sweet moment of victory after a month of fasting in Ramadhan and striving to be the best version of ourselves.

The community came dressed in our traditional attires, uniquely and proudly defining our Asian heritage. Many also came wearing the kuffiyehs, strengthening our solidarity with our brothers, sisters and children in Palestine.

Eid-al Fitr is a time of joy and celebration, to seek forgiveness and earn numerous rewards. And it makes extra special when the community embodies the spirit of 𝙜𝙤𝙩𝙤𝙣𝙜-𝙧𝙤𝙮𝙤𝙣𝙜 (volunteerism).

We thank everyone for your support and participation and we seek your forgiveness for all our shortcomings. If you haven’t complete the survey, please take some time to do so - your feedback is incredibly important to us.

We received news earlier that one of our Brother, 𝐇𝐣 𝐙𝐚𝐤𝐚𝐫𝐢𝐚𝐡 𝐁𝐢𝐧 𝐁𝐚𝐣𝐮𝐫𝐢 had passed away late last night. Almarhum is the brother in law of our highly regarded community members
𝐇𝐣 𝐊𝐡𝐚𝐬𝐦𝐮𝐢𝐧, 𝐇𝐣 𝐇𝐚𝐥𝐢𝐝 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐡𝐮𝐬𝐛𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐨𝐟 𝐇𝐣𝐡 𝐒𝐚𝐨𝐧𝐚𝐡

Let’s make dua’ for Almarhum Hj Zakariah to be granted placement among the righteous in Jannah.

❓What’s happening TODAY at the Hub? ❓

1. 𝙀𝙄𝘿 𝘽𝙧𝙞𝙚𝙛𝙞𝙣𝙜: We are organising our Eid prayers outdoors! As this is our 1st time, we need your help! If you are able to help out, please come at 6pm today for a short briefing and sharing of tasks.

2. 𝙁𝙪𝙣𝙙𝙧𝙖𝙞𝙨𝙞𝙣𝙜 𝙨𝙩𝙖𝙡𝙡 : Our youth are holding a little Ramadhan stall to raise funds to purchase Eid gifts for the Palestinian children who have arrived here in Melbourne, through El-Rahman Inc, from 6pm onwards. Monetary donations are most welcome too! Come and support them!

3. 𝙎𝙥𝙤𝙣𝙨𝙤𝙧𝙚𝙙 𝘾𝙤𝙢𝙢𝙪𝙣𝙞𝙩𝙮 𝙄𝙛𝙩𝙖𝙧 : Join us for iftar, prayers and terawih. We are also pleased to welcome Br Adam and family, from El-Rahman Inc, the organisation which helps the newly arrived Palestinians from Gaza. He’ll be sharing a little update on their current status and how we can help them further In Sha Allah.
