RAIL MACHINERY // McLeod Raill operations staff in Melbourne recently met with Business Development Manager Alex Heiden and Sales Manager Dan Barrett of Harrybilt Engineering and Welding Services in Ballarat to discuss the continuation of their 10+ year partnership.
Harrybilt showed us their high quality, durable and light weight rail maintenance attachment range including the Mini Bullant and Pole Grab that was launched late last year at Ausrail 2022, Brisbane.
Our two businesses have been working together to help clients achieve their rail project objectives safely and efficiently.
Harrybilt helps with the rail maintenance attachments and road rail vehicles and McLeod Rail looks after rail maintenance, construction and consulting solutions.
We look forward to continuing our Australian based relationship for many years to come.

TUNNEL SAFETY VISIT // The McLeod Rail engineering team members recently visited the Victorian Tunnelling Centre at Holmesglen Institute.
The Victoria's Big Build North East Link Program has recently launched an impressive induction and training installation including a hyper realistic "Safety Glasses Experience."

In May 2022, McLeod Rail met with senior - your National Transport Research Organisation staff in Melbourne regarding their extensive and impressive railway bridge inspection technical and training capabilities.
The dynamic NTRO team is leading the development of new knowledge, innovation, standards and specifications for Australia and New Zealand’s rail, roads, ports and airport sectors, and creating and guiding world’s best practice across all modes of Australian and New Zealand transport.
NTRO is backed by the ARRB - Australian Road Research Board (ARRB), and since early 2022 includes the Australasian Centre for Rail Innovation (ACRI). The NTRO Group has more than 60 years of experience as the scientific and engineering expert advisor to all levels of government - as well as to industry participants like McLeod Rail - on transport research.

McLeod Rail has been a customer of Harrybilt Engineering and Welding Services located in Ballarat, Victoria for over ten years.
Harrybilt has been manufacturing Hi Rail and Rail Guidance Systems for Excavators (Wheel and Track) and Trucks, as well as Rail Maintenance Equipment including Rail and Sleeper Handling Attachments since 1985.
They recently provided McLeod Rail a comprehensive proposal for a client requiring a hi rail solution for a national contract, involving hi rail conversion for specialist rail equipment.
