Tumut Radiology is seeking a dedicated and skilled Medical Receptionist to join our friendly team on a casual basis. Located in the picturesque town of Tumut, NSW, our practice has been providing excellent medical imaging services for over 11 years. We pride ourselves on creating a supportive and enjoyable work environment.

Key Details:
Position Type: Casual
Schedule: Monday, Tuesday, and Friday (9:30am to 5:00pm)
Start Date: Immediate!

Key Responsibilities:

Serve as the first point of contact for patients, visitors, and medical professionals both in person and over the phone.
Provide outstanding customer service, ensuring all interactions are handled with empathy and professionalism.
Manage appointment scheduling and billings, patient records, and administrative tasks efficiently.
Maintain strict confidentiality adhering to privacy laws and organizational policies.
Demonstrate flexibility and willingness to cover additional shifts as needed to accommodate staff absences or staff shift swaps etc (the practice’s operating hours are between 7:30am and 5:00pm, Monday to Friday and you need to be available to work during these times if needed).

Requirements:

Strong communication skills and a professional telephone manner.
Ability to work well under pressure, prioritize tasks effectively, and multitask in a busy environment.
Proven ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
Proficiency in IT and computer systems, preferably with experience using medical practice management software.
Previous experience in a medical or health care setting is desirable.
Prior administration experience is preferable.

Prostate Cancer Awareness Month is observed every year in September by health experts, health advocates and the public to raise awareness about prostate health and prostate cancer.

Tumut Radiology will be closed today, Monday 13th June due to the Public Holiday. We will reopen on Tuesday 14th June at 8:30am.

Bowel Cancer Awareness Month is an annual initiative of Bowel Cancer Australia running throughout the month of June, to raise public awareness of a disease claiming the lives of many Australians weekly.
