Classes at Little Feathers

All Juniors
As some of you come to the end of your first project, here are the details of our next one.
We will be making a lined drawstring bag that will be used to keep your work in class instead of the plastic bags we have been using.

Fabric requirements:
75cm of main Fabric... cotton (no stretch or.see through fabric)
75cm of lining Fabric... you can use the same as the main or choose something different to match or contrast.. also cotton
You will also need Fusible interfacing which can be purchased in class

Our first project next term will be a personalised book pillow.

Requirements:
1/2 metre calico
1/2 metre Cotton fabric of your choice for the pockets...please make sure it is not a stretch fabric or see through.
I will supply the scraps for the applique at no cost

PLEASE NOTE: These fabrics are no longer available in the studio, everything has been moved to the new shop so please plan ahead to have what you need for the start of term, including matching thread.
If you wish to purchase from me, the shop is open Thursday - Sunday (I have a worker there Thursday until 1:30 but she should be able to helpnyou if you go when I am not there)
The shop is located in the Village at the back of the Tyabb Packing house

Junior classes
NEXT PROJECT REQUIREMENTS

Our next project will be a complete pj set.
Fabric requirements: Shorts: 1 mtr fabric of your choice
Top: 1.5 mtrs of stretch knit (t-shirt, onsie type fabric)
Please note: top must be made from stretch fabric or it won't fit.
Flannelette fabric can be used but it MUST be washed prior to class as it will shrink
Trunk elastic.. thi can be purchased from me.

JUNIORS

Our first project this year will be an Owl Sewing Buddy

Fabric requirements:
1/2 metre Cotton. NON STRETCH
Please note: if you would contrasting features like the belly, eyes, feet or beak...these can be made using any smaller scraps of fabric you may have at home.

1/2 metre Fusible Fleece (this can be purchased from me)
Stuffing (this can be purchased from me)
2 buttons for eyes (this can be purchased from me)

You can also bring in any embellishments you might like such as extra buttons, lace or ribbons.
The owl will be weighted down with rice which I will provide.

I have had to make a few changes to class fabrics. Any fabrics purchased in class will now be a minimum of 20cm and any remnant fabrics used will be charged at $2 per metre (remnants will work out to a few cents each once measured)

JUNIORS FINISHING DAY
I will be running a class on the holidays for anyone who needs to finish anything off or would like help in changing anything on any previous projects.
Please note: there will not be any new projects started on this day.

I'm really sorry but I won't be here for class on the 4th which will make today's class our last actual sewing lass for the term.
I can offer a refund for this class or carry it over until next year if your child is returning.

CHRISTMAS PARTY INFO
All students have been given the name of their Kris Kringle.
The limit is $15 but of course you dont have to spend that much, handmade gifts are always nice too.
Please bring a plate of food to share. I will be supplying hot sausage rolls and party pies so dont worry about bringing any hot food.

Classes will run as normal on Monday regardless of the public holiday 🙂

TEEN CLASS

Term 4 projects
We will be starting on our Christmas advent calendars.
Fabric Requirements:
1 mtr Christmas fabric for the front
1 mtr fabric for the back, this can be Christmas or anything else you like
Extra fabric for the pockets. FQ's are perfect for this
There is very limited Christmas fabric available in class so please bring your own

Please note: we will not be working on any unfinished projects from term 3.
If the calendars get completed early, we may have time to finish off any previous projects afterwards.
