On Friday the Mullewa Community Resource Centre came to visit to raise awareness for SOCK (save our country kids) which is an important road safety awareness campaign. We also had the Mullewa Police - Western Australia Police Force - come and have a chat about bike safety. It was such a success that apparently we have quite a few aspiring Police Officers in our school!
Last week we were lucky to have a visit from Andrew Chinn. Everyone sang, danced and laughed. It was a very fun morning for the whole school! Butterfly Music

This morning the hall has been made into a McDonalds Restaurant! Miss K has done an amazing job of setting everything up! Miss Bec was so happy with the coffee she ordered, the service was fantastic.
The Year 1/2 Class have been learning about "Pollination" in science with Mrs Moffat. Do you think they had fun??
This Friday 21st June we are having a "Bike Safety Session" at school. Students are encouraged to wear bright/fluro colours to school. This is a free dress day, students are required to wear fully enclosed shoes.
Flynn and Noah have checked our rain gauge under the watchful eye of Mr O'Malley. A little was spilt but we are pretty sure we have had 125mm of rain since Friday. Everyone is very happy!
School has resumed after the extra long weekend. Donnie and Kamalhia are busy in the kitchen with Miss Penny cooking Anzac Biscuits. We can't wait to have a taste.
Book Week dress-up day. Everyone looked fantastic. Thank you to Luna and Monique for running the parade and a big thank you to Mrs Swift for organising the book fair and Mrs Steele for helping out.

Helen Ansell has been coming and doing an art lesson with the 4/5/6 class once a week as part of the North Midlands Project - SEW workshop. The students have been loving having Helen visit.
Its been a busy week at OLMC. Free dress day for Communio, we raised a little over $180, the crop was planted with Mr Dale, Miss Penny has been busy baking with students and building leggo with Alan. To finish the week off the students enjoyed the first Tuckshop for the year.
Anyone need a Doctor? Monday Funday in the Yr 1/2 class was a hospital! Thankfully we had plenty of Drs and Surgeons on hand to help all the patients.
We have had a very special delivery to our school this morning. The very talented Mrs Kylie Rowe has made this beautiful bird bath for our garden. Our school is very blessed to have this piece made by Kylie. A very special spot has been chosen and once installed we will post some more photos.
Tuckshop is this Friday! All notes are due in tomorrow, Tuesday 14th May.

A reminder that school photos are tomorrow. Students will need to be at school at 8.30am. Family forms must be filled out and paid for before any photos can be taken. Year 6 students need to wear their OLMC shirt and bring their leavers shirts in their school bag.
The last day you can order school photos is Monday 13th May.
Congratulations to Zac for receiving the "Team Player" award in week 1. This award is given by the Spiritual Ministry to students for playing nicely and helping pack away at lunch and recess.
