Time to give the Stagea a little love. I said a while ago that the clutch was on the way out but now it's properly cooked. Sticking with a HD organic because I've got enough race-cars right now, but I've got a couple of ideas for some fun stuff.
I would love to tidy up the paint and panels a bit one day, but I'm more of a fan of "go before show".
However, right now it's got almost as "much" go as the ke70. Can't boost it at all without the clutch slipping 😂
Super happy with how this 3D Printed Cam Degree wheel (or cam timing wheel) has come out, the knurling is 👌
Obviously the wheels themselves are not too expensive (starting at around ~$60) but the crank socket is usually around $150+ itself so in total it's a pretty decent saving - plus there wasn't one readily available at the correct size that I could see in the whole 20 seconds I spent searching.
Can't wait to get this on the KE25 Corolla and dial in the custom cam so I can actually get it out and drive it.
Supposing cam timing actually is my issue 😂
More info on this and the other builds on my YT - Lots of updates atm - Links in my bio ✌️
Should I go back to the quaddies on the ke70? I'm thinking yes.
Gonna need a little panel beating of the ones I've got 😂 but they look the best imo - lemme know what you think!
Also I think I've got a good idea for the build series on the turbo-k engines. I might even restart the longer format vids on my YT, so if that's something you want to see head over and subscribe to my channel and you can also get up to date on the Ke25 too!
This Vehical Ownership Journal is the perfect thing you've been missing for keeping track of everything relating to your car.
Often, when purchasing a secondhand vehicle you receive no record of ownership, no service history, and no history of the car in general. It can also be difficult to keep track of what custom parts you’ve put in, what fluids you used last time, and tricky part numbers that you managed to find but now cant remember.
This journal lets you keep track of all of that information - and can be something that you keep with the car forever - or pass on to the next owner if you choose to one day sell.
100% Designed & Manufactured in Melbourne, Australia.
What's included:
1x Ownership Journal, with sticker to match cover vehicle.
What's Inside:
Record of Ownership,
Vehicle Specific Details,
Lubricants & Fluids,
Part Numbers,
Notes; and,
Vehicle Service records.
If there's a Car / Bike / Vehicle that you're after that you don't see here - please let me know in the comments!

It's completely unnecessary but there's something pretty satisfying about making a detailed model of something that I can use in CAD assemblies.
I love these old school omori gauges and have a plan to house a few of them in the Ke25. I love period style mods and try to keep as much of my designs within the theme of the car they're going in.
I made these models in 2020 and it feels like I somehow used to have more hours in the day, but it's great to be able to refer to these for new designs and know that they're accurate. And plus they look good 😂
More ke25 updates on the way 👀
Exploded views are one of my favorites. They really give a good idea of the intricacies of an assembly.
Eventually the built engine will likely switch to solid lifters, but the standard engine will just be the hydraulic lifters as per the model.
I was going to wait before I modelled up the crank and cam gears but looks like I'll be needing an adjustable one sooner rather than later, soooo...
Once this model is done I'm thinking of making up some posters. I know I've been threatening it forever, but ya know - life.
Finally going back over the designs I started 3+ years ago... Although my CAD skills have improved in general I'm still a little bit thinking "why on earth did I go to so much detail?" 😂
But I like a challenge, and I'm glad I put in the effort because it's rewarding to work with and I know that I can rely on my model being accurate when using it to produce new products. It also keeps me motivated to make sure as I add to it, I keep putting in the same effort. Although realistically I wouldn't be able to help myself anyway - it was always going to be an overly detailed model haha.
Anyway - progress feels good, man.
Lemme know what you think ✌️

This was probably one of the last times I drove the KE25 Corolla before I forgot to pay the rego and let it lapse 😑
Then after a million and one things happening in between, things have finally come back around to where the car is running (pretty) well again.
There's a lot that needs to be tidied up as I prep it for the turbo - most of which are things that I slapped together when I rebuilt the car the first time.
Originally it was going to have a 4agze swap - I even had the engine mounted in the engine bay. Mounted up to a t50 and a shortened vl turbo diff.
But then the 180sx decided to spin a bearing. In the middle of winter. And my only other car was the KE25.
So I took the rest of the week off work (couldn't get there anyway) and worked sunrise to sunset plus a little longer either side to get it back together. Absolutely freezing, wearing 3 pairs of pants and 2x jumpers with thermals 😂
I repainted the entire car with rattle cans. Fixed some rust - left a lot of rust - painted the engine bay as well. New bushes, some new wiring and a lot of really dodgy old wiring.
Chopped VS wagon rear springs in the front and the reset leaves in the rear.
I had luckily(?) Sourced a k-t hydraulic bell housing from Malaysia in the meantime anyway to keep for a later date so I left the t50 in the car and bolted up the 5k.
Which is convenient because the reason I took the Ke25 off the road in the FIRST PLACE was cos I stripped the gears off the layshaft in the k50 box doing skids in the hills 😂
You'd think that was unlucky but I made it literally all the way home at about 4am and then when I drove the car around the corner the next day (literally around the corner) the box died.
So I pushed the car home for what felt like the millionth time...
And anyway, now here we are. 10+ years later and she lives on.
It's least favourite of all my cars so please comment below and let her know if you love it 😂

Stagea is in desperate need of a new clutch. I'm thinking seeing as I gotta pull the gearbox out anyway it might be time to convert to RWD for a while and up the boost a little bit 👀
AWD was pretty good for our Tasmania trip, handled the roads perfectly with heaps of grip. But... We're not in Tas anymore, and, you know - RWD.
Also, Tri spokes look good on everything and you can't change my mind.
What's the best go-to drink at the servo?
New widescreen video platform... Video! Link in bio 👇
The day has finally arrived - the Weber 32/36 is going back on the 5K in the KE25 and it's looking shiny and new.
Sometimes it feels like there's a whole bunch of work for little reward, and then sometimes you feel like you achieve a crazy amount in a small period of time.
The 32/36 Weber received a service kit from Weber Performance, as I said: Not sponsored, just sharing for those who might be interested.
The main setup of the Carby for things that were removed/reinstalled are:
Emulsion Tubes
Primary: F-50
Secondary: F-6
Air Jet
Primary: 160
Secondary: 165
Fuel Jets
Primary: 140
Secondary: 135
All of those were exactly as the carburetor was and had been on the car in the ~10 years I've owned it.
However, as I suspected might be the case, because i rectified the issue with the adapter plate (Ie. the gaping hole in the side letting a bunch of fuel escape) the engine began to overfuel.
However, that was not the end of my woes - oh no. There's more.
Let me know if you think you can guess what it is.
More to come.
More progress on the Ke25 over the Xmas break. New YouTube vids are on the way - just need more hours in the day to edit 🥲
What is the best JDM family car / wheel combination and why is it a Stagea with tri-spokes?
Took and our doggos out to see some Christmas lights last night and was great to be cruising in the stagea again. I need more RB25 in my life.
Also why is your purple drink blackcurrant flavoured and not grape? It is the mildest inconvenience having to use my brain/eyes and read the label to realize I bought the wrong one.
It's finally time to put this carburetor together.
My Ke25 Corolla came with this 32/36 Weber when I bought it, and it's never really run "right". So after pulling it apart and hitting a couple of roadblocks along the way I'm finally able to put the last finishing touches on the assembly.
Using the ultrasonic cleaner for cleaning carburetor parts has been a godsend and I only wish I had've bought one sooner.
As the old adapter plate on the car was almost next to useless I needed a new one so I thought what better time to test out some 3D printed engine parts?
The 32/36 Weber adapter plate is almost completely 3D printed, save for the accelerator spring return mount - which I decided to machine out of steel.
Unfortunately I'm yet to comission my Bridgeport mill, so it was left completely up to my little bench top lathe to finish the job.
This has been a pretty fun and rewarding project to work through as I get the car ready to return to the road, before I really get stuck into the turbo kit.
Jump over to my YT [link in bio] and let me know what you think!
The little KE25 is finally getting a bit more love. The 32/36 Weber was on the car when I got it, and although it was ok it never ran quite "right"...
Turns out the fact that it's absolutely filthy is the very least of its problems 😂 but it's well on its way to being sorted now.
Gasket kit is ready to go and I've also 3D printed and machined a few new little bits a pieces to help along the way.
If you're not subscribed to my widescreen platform yet go and check it out!
7 years ago today I bailed on study for an exam I had the next day to "just go and have a look at a GTR that's for sale"... I definitely wasn't gonna buy it though...
Anyway there's a long and interesting story about this car and it was definitely waiting just for me. The guy handed me the key, I peered around the corner at it sitting up the back of the yard and I knew I was going to buy it.
It was always the plan to work on it once I completed my degree as a kind of "present to myself".
Now I've collected a shed full of parts it's probably about time it gets some love.
words were "another one? This car better be fkn sick"
It's a GTR, Jess. Of course it's sick ✌️
Pushing hard on Corolla and 180sx stuff at the moment, not a whole lot to show for it just yet.
Also collecting some stuff in the background for the 350z as well. Not 100% sure if we'll keep this car or not but I feel like I haven't really given it a proper go just yet and I do like it.
So I'm selling these wheels, $2k ono will also trade for some 350z suspension or other Silvia/skyline/jdm parts of interest so hit me with an offer!
Big boy specs 18*9.5 and 18*10.5
✌️
One time I tried to fit the Corolla in a service lift so I could get it into a workshop.
Unless you work security for a certain university, in which case, no i didn't.
Lucky the Ke25 only weighs 750kg otherwise I would have had to have been a lot fitter to push it around as much as I did when it wouldn't start 😂
I've briefly mentioned it before, but this car actually has a rattle-can special paint job that I did in my driveway in the middle of winter 😂 the paint in this photo is after it had lived outside for about 4 years without cover - so not bad!
The 180sx spun a bearing so I put the 4agze swap on hold and put the Ke25 back together in about a week and a bit.
5k with a mild cam, 32/36 Weber, t-50 gearbox from an ae86 and a shortened vl turbo 28 spline borg warner with 4:11 and an L*D.
It's actually a pretty awesome car just the way it is... but, you know. Turbo noises.
What's better than a turbo Corolla?
Two turbo corollas 👀...
I think I've decided that the tri-spokes need to go back on the stagea. Just doesn't look right without them to me anymore.
Here it is with the roof racks getting a workout, bringing another marketplace bargain home 😂
That means I'll need some new wheels for the 350z, so anyone's got some cool ones for sale lemme know!
Still selling my big-boy cosmis 18x9.5 and 18x10.5 as well, can't part trade or whatevs ✌️
I am actually stoked to get the little KE25 running again. I drove this car every day for many years and although pretty scary in the rain with the tiny little wipers it was always a good time.
Of all the cars I've got this one always gets the "thumbs up" from passers by. Maybe that's also because it's the one that actually got driven the most 😂
It's been a while since I've made something as satisfying as this.
I decided it was time for a new workbench and some more organisation in the workshop. So I did some searching and decided on 4 of these tool chests, which I then joined together via a single 2.4m x ~1m benchtop.
Definitely happy with how it came out but the organisation I'm going to get from these modular drawer inserts is the best part for me.
Now the generic bins are designed I've already started work on a while bunch of custom inserts.

How good are quad headlights? Is there any car with quads that doesn't look good?

I'm torn between the idea of "restoration" and repair. I like that the car is relatively original so would like to just "get it going" but then it's already had a bad respray at one point and needs a little rust repair.
But everyone knows what it's like once you start pulling that thread...

It's about that time, where I revisit projects I started over 2 years ago 😂
Which is both good and bad. Frustrating at times because I feel like I've progressed a lot with my modelling and want to start over but then other times I'm like "oh actually, that's pretty good!".
Swings and roundabouts.

Hard to believe I've already had this car 6 years, today.
Not so hard to believe that it still doesn't run.
Consistency is key 😂
