A very special CCA welcome to Chaplain Kelvin. There’s already a great vibe around the camp site. Well done Kelvin!
When team members work remotely it’s great having the opportunity to do some face to face training in between site visits over breakfast and a good
coffee☕️
Our project today is a power point presentation about psychosocial hazards.
A couple of points about how Chaplaincy supports mental health in the workplace:
- Our Corporate Chaplains provide employees with one-on-one sessions, providing a listening presence to those in need.
- Over time, our Chaplains will build caring relationships and a support network for employees who are experiencing personal problems and stress.
Welcome to the team Chaplain Shane! You’re doing a great job👏
Unbeknown to me my career as a workplace chaplain began when I was born in Kalgoorlie.
In the early sixties my father worked as a miner in the Goldfields and my mum ran a boarding house for the miners.
As a baby I was the parcel passed around the dining table whilst mum cooked dinner. Mum would also wash all of the miners uniforms by hand!
I’ve been in the midst of workplace conversations since the day I was born and as destiny would have it, I’ve returned to the red dirt to have more conversations with miners.
Together with our Chappy Paul, it’s been a privilege to establish another Chaplaincy program in support of mental health.
Whether we are meeting with a C-suite executive in the Perth CBD, a small business owner in a local coffee shop or an employee on a mine site, the themes are all the same:
Everyone wants to be seen, Everyone wants to be heard, Everyone wants to be loved.
Regardless of advanced technological innovations, Human Capital is the most important investment of them all.
Paul has done an amazing job with team members at the campsites. Well done and thank you Paul👏

Spending some precious time with the beautiful bride to be . I can’t wait for this Saturday💒💕🌸💒💕🌸
After 33 years in business we have now sold our last retail shop, Dog Swamp News Agency. During an exhausting late night stock take our daughter’s Nadia and Tanya brought in some pizza and Moët to celebrate. I’ve been one of the lucky ones whose had an amazing husband with a never give up mentality. Tom has worked like a trojan and he is by no means done and dusted. Already Tom has embraced his new lifestyle seeking out how he can help his family and friends. Onwards and upwards!

Recent research findings into toxic corporate culture have shown that at least $212 million dollars of antidepressant use within Australia is accounted for by work-related stress. This rise parallels a slump in workplace productivity.
Our goal is to reverse this trend by providing workplaces with non-judgemental, inclusive chaplains. We deliver effective care in a non-discriminatory manner to employees of any religious background or denomination. From the CEO to managers to employees, we engage every employee equally at every level.
Our corporate chaplains provide employees with the opportunity to meet up for relaxed conversations in a safe and confidential setting. Our chaplains offer one-on-one sessions, providing a listening presence to those in need. Over time, our chaplains build caring relationships and help employees who are experiencing personal problems and stress. By simply having someone to talk to, stress levels are significantly reduced.
Our aim is to help you create a healthy, productive and positive workplace culture. We provide employees with the opportunity to meet one-on-one with a trained corporate chaplain, for conversation and camaraderie. Conversations can take place at work, or even a coffee shop. Chaplains are trained to listen without judgement – by doing so, we can make a huge difference to employers and employees alike.
There are 19 skyscrapers in our Perth CBD, with a population of over 200,000 workers and visitors on any given weekday. Our goal is to place corporate chaplains throughout the Perth CBD.
To support our mission, we invite you to ‘Adopt a Skyscraper’. By adopting a skyscraper, your sponsorship will provide a corporate chaplain to the workers of a designated building over a 12-month period.

It’s a sad truth that each year, around 7,200 Australians are compensated for work-related mental health conditions, equating to around 6% of workers’ compensation claims.
Mental health can be adversely affected by a number of things in the workplace, including:
• high job demand
• low job demand
• poor support
• poor workplace relationships
• low role clarity
• poor organisational change management
• poor organisational justice
• poor environmental conditions
• remote or isolated work, and
• violent or traumatic events.
Corporate chaplains can alleviate these stresses and struggles in the workplace, through the simple act of talking things through.
Have you heard the term “remoteliness”? As the word suggests, remoteliness is a feeling of loneliness experienced when working remotely. Without the bustle of an office, people can begin to feel isolated and disconnected from their colleagues.
As with any type of loneliness, this can have health impacts, including depression, anxiety, low self-esteem, sleep problems and increased stress.
“Remoteliness” is a big part of the reason we’ve introduced a “Digital Chaplaincy” service at Corporate Chaplaincy Australia, so that our clients can talk to a chaplain, either in person or via Zoom, regardless of where people are working.
Our corporate chaplains provide care and support to employees throughout any type of situation or personal crisis that may arise, in a confidential and dependable setting. Our chaplains aim to normalise the conversation around mental health, providing a powerful support system in the workplace.
Corporate chaplains focus on quality, holistic care, regardless of faith and beliefs. Our team does not discriminate, practising wholehearted inclusivity.
Our goal is always to initiate a conversation, offer an opportunity for self-expression, and nurture and empower every employee we engage with.
Workplaces have changed immeasurably over the past 18 months, with many employees splitting their time across their home and the office. For that reason, it may not always be possible to share a private space and a coffee with a corporate chaplain. That’s why we’ve introduced a “Digital Chaplaincy” service at Corporate Chaplains Australia!
The first to take up the service is Life Time Accountants and Advisers ; half of the team works in their office and the other half works remotely. Brilliantly, all the team at Lifetime Accountants can now access a chaplain, either in person or via Zoom, regardless of where people are working.

The stigma attached to mental health can stop people from communicating clearly in the workplace, especially when troubled. Corporate chaplains provide a valuable opportunity for expression, and connection.
Our trained and accredited chaplains meet one-on-one with employees for unmonitored conversations. Communication has always been an effective tool of professional support, and integral to early intervention.
Support and early intervention are integral components of chaplaincy, at any level. At Corporate Chaplaincy Australia we normalise the conversation around mental health, and work with companies to foster positive environments.
When it comes to soliciting support, chaplains are as viable as counsellors and social workers. We cross faith, workplace and cultural parameters to build one-on-one trust, and provide ongoing assistance.
Fabulous morning at the Governor’s Prayer Breakfast bumping into these two legends Mark Godfrey and Nataneal Costea! It’s great to see so many familiar faces enjoying our freedom to gather in WA and give thanks for all we have🥰🙏❤️
Corporate chaplains can be a helpful presence during difficult conversations between management and employees in the form of mediation, or as a support person during redundancies. Our goal is to serve the best interests of both the employer and the employee, without bias or judgement. Corporate Chaplaincy Australia cares about the mental fitness of your team. We help businesses balance compassion and ambition.
Corporate chaplains don’t just help employees working on the ground – we’re also invaluable at C-suite level, where executives and directors absorb much of the pressure and responsibility.
Quite often, those in the C-suite have very little spare time and carry an enormous sense of burden for the organisations they serve. Corporate chaplains can relieve this burden, both personally and professionally.
This fascinating article highlights the concept of “work design”. Rather than being about ergonomic chairs, good light and nice plants, “work design” is actually about all the elements of a person’s job that impact on their enjoyment, fulfilment and productivity.
Corporate chaplains play a huge part in getting “work design” right!

So often, workers feel immense pressure to show up, put on a brave face, and get the job done. Corporate Chaplains want to partner with organisations to change this workplace culture; we want to create an environment that is open, accepting and understanding of employees’ health and wellbeing.
Just as you would invest in training courses to increase productivity, investing proactively in care services such as chaplaincy is a way to pre-empt the harmful effects of unaddressed staff mental health issues on your business.
It’s a sad and disappointing truth that some workplaces are toxic and unhealthy environments. It may seem that changing a toxic workplace culture is impossible, but although it’s difficult, it can be done.
A corporate chaplain offers an extremely therapeutic presence in a toxic workplace, helping improve the culture by addressing those simmering tensions. In a relaxed atmosphere, speaking one-on-one to a caring person outside the company’s hierarchy, employees are more open to sharing their thoughts and concerns.
Our chaplains facilitate a positive mental health support system that benefits your workplace culture.
