Croquet News....

After their success at Ipswich and Woody Point in March some of our Renaissance Residents Croquet players travelled to Southport to play in the “Mallet Sports on the Broadwater” (MSOB) Golf Croquet tournament last week. The GC Doubles was played on Weds & Thurs 26th-27th where Lorraine and Barry Beattie teamed up together, and Arthur Bullock teamed up with Noel Johnson. Twelve pairs contested the Round Robin Block. The weather was perfect - cold first up in the morning and very warm during the day! 😎
Newcomers to the event, Arthur and Noel, seeded 11th in the block, overcame their initial nervousness and tough opposition to finish in 3rd place with 8 Wins and 9 Net hoops. What a fantastic performance from this pair playing in their first major tournament together, ably supported at the courtside by their wives Lynelle and Fay! 🥂 Congratulations to Arthur & Noel on their great achievement!👏👏👏
