Last day of the school holidays. I love the school holidays. Its often hard keeping them entertained, but it's always so nice to have them home to create lots of memories. It's also nice not having to worry about the morning craziness of school lunches and no matter how organised, we are still racing out the door like a crazy person.

When I was asked to paint these two beautiful macaws I will a little nervous. But as they progressed i absolutely loved painting them from start to finish. It was so much fun.

I also got to know a bit about these two beautiful birds including their personalities. Turns out the red macaw is a bit of a character which I could 100% see as the painting progressed.

It’s always love doing commission artworks especially getting to know my beautiful collectors while I create their special artwork.

Meet the Maker 🤍🧡

I thought I would officially introduce myself to all my beautiful followers, new and old.

Hi! I'm Rebecca, but mostly Bec. Im a Riverina based artist who wears many hats, wife, Mum Artist, Nurse. I have always been creative, but painting is my true passion. I love that there is no right or wrong. I dabble in many different styles. But capturing the beautiful Australian bushland and all the stories held within is where my heart lies. I mainly paint in acrylic because of its ease. Often racing down to my studio any chance I can get. Not always as often as I would like. Family is everything to me. But life can be a bit chaotic at times, especially with four energetic soccer loving boys 😂

This beauty arrived safely in New Zealand today, and doesn’t it look perfect hanging in its new home.

I’m always so honoured when someone asks me to create that special statement artwork (oh and maybe just a little bit nervous as well) often because it's something close to their heart.

When the lovely asked me to create this special piece from when she lived and worked in Western Australia on a property, I was so very excited to bring her vision together into this special piece.
