This place is something seriously special...the climb to the top of the hill is incredible....the rush you get driving even at 8 tenths is unreal...
This is my fastest run of the day, just under 3 seconds faster than the best time in the Toz 5 years ago...could have been quicker too if I wasn't a blouse going into 'The Grate'...but we'll do better next time!! 😁🏁

What a blast, this is my fastest run of the day, 3 seconds faster than the previous best in the Torana 5 years ago (to be fair at that point the Torana wasn't being driven at 10/10ths)
Anyone got some bigger coconuts I can borrow for next time?! 😆🏁

G'day everyone, been a minute since any on track activity has gone on for CBM Ops so here is a quick update...
The VR Commodore Racecar is getting some maintenance, after 6 track days the twin plate clutch that come with the donor driveline needed to be rebuilt, so that has just come back from Direct Clutch Services & is ready to go back in. While the rig is up in the air we will replace all the suspension arms with solid bushings & also go to adjustable rear upper arms to assist with pinion angle tweaking & also could provide rear traction improvement as well.
All things being equal (some current health issues have meant I couldn't drive the car at the moment anyway even if it was ready to go) we will try for a Test n Tune sometime in July.
Finally, a few loyal long term followers have asked about 'The Toz'...the 308 engine built over 17 years ago unfortunately took a lobe off the camshaft so a freshen up was definitely due. As things have transpired getting the heads routinely checked was lucky, unknowingly turns out they were pretty toast....so we are in the process of finding some suitable replacement heads as well as the block getting dipped & new cam bearings as well along with rings, bearings etc. Hopefully if all goes well the little rocket will be back on the road around springtime.

1st time I'd had a chance to take passengers out in the VR & it was a great day taking 3 people out (no back seat so not all at the same time 😆) for rides-always good fun & it was a very enjoyable day for everyone. Thanks heaps BAC & WMR for putting on a super day for all us members 👍

My first time as Sandown with V8 power & it was so cool, the dash came up with 235km/h which I think is a little generous, but man this place (with a bit of power) is the cats pyjamas!!
Fastest time for the day was recorded at 1:29.7...first time for the car there, pretty happy with that!!

If you watch the vid to the end you will see what happens when the electrical issue of the car cutting out & loosing ECU/fuel pumps looks like...whenever it happened (both at Winton in 4th gear & Logic Centre in 3rd) it would always be at peak RPM, assuming due to both electrical & fuel demand being at the max at that point...hopefully (fingers crossed) after some wiring/sub harness mods by Paul on the day those problems have now been solved.
