Our Winter Warmer series are fantastic opportunities to bring winery cellar doors to you, right here in Warrnambool. First up, we have Tom and Sarah from .winery .

Great Western, a small town in the Grampians region of Victoria, has a rich history that spans various industries. Initially, the town thrived on sheep farming, which was a significant part of its early economy. The discovery of gold in the area during the 19th century brought a rush of prospectors and further boosted the town's growth.

However, it is in the wine industry that Great Western has endured and flourished. A James Halliday 4.5-star winery, Grampians Estate is a distinguished name in the Victorian wine industry. With an impressive collection of 78 trophies for its wines, it stands out as a towering player in the region. 

Tom and Sarah from Grampians Estate will be here at Grape & Barley from 4.30pm on Friday, and with them will be their famous Sparkling Shiraz amongst other beautifully crafted wines.

Last year's series went so well, we thought we'd try it again!

5 weeks, 5 wineries. Each Friday in July, and the first Friday in August from 4.30 pm will see the winemakers come to the store to talk about and share their wine.

What a blast! Our first was just so much fun, and we can't wait to go again next year. The beers were exceptional, the food was impressive, and contrary to popular opinion, we really enjoyed their new home at the Showgrounds! It was great to catch up with our friends:

This is it folks. This....is the end of an era. We've had in our fridges since we opened last year, and they've become one of our favourite breweries, releasing exceptional beer after exceptional beer. And they've been a wonderful, friendly crew to work with. But now they are no more, and we're genuinely saddened by their closure 🥺

We've managed to get out eager little paws on some of their last ever releases, so it's a bitter-sweet moment! Deeds made some of the BEST stouts in the market, so when they say that Super Massive Black Hole is based on the Milly Way chocolate bar, you know it's going to be epic! And a Quadruple WCIPA?! 🤯

We only grabbed 1 slab of each, so once they're gone, they are well and truly gone. Make sure you don't miss out. It's a tough time out there for independent businesses across all sectors, so be sure to support them when you can.

Our youngest girl is 18!

And her birthday dinner is this evening, so we'll be closing at 6.30pm tonight. We're sorry for any inconvenience this may cause, but there's still plenty of time to pop in and grab your mum a gift for Mother's Day 🍾

Last night we had John and Heather from Banks Thargo visit for a platter and a chatter. They are a truly lovely couple who make some truly lovely wine. So good in fact, that we've sold out, but we'll have their wine back in stock next week!

And you'll get to meet them and taste their outstanding wine in August, when they're back in Warrnambool for our Winter Warmer Series. More info to come!

We've had many customers already enquire about them, so for the sake of fairness, we have to limit the new cans to ONE CAN of each style PER CUSTOMER. Help us make sure that everyone can experience these in-demand limiteds.

Probably the best Christmas present Simon has ever got Lou was tickets for last night's Olympic Qualifier against Uzbekistan! So we took the day off and headed to Melbourne in 36C heat to sweat it out in the stands 🥵

While we were there, we bumped into legendary artist and fellow Warrnamboolian and his bloody brilliant commissioned anamorphic painting of and

Jimmi, you are incredible. And what an opportunity to have your artwork at .au for 54,000 footy fans to see!

We've also to mention that Simon predicted a 10-0 scoreline. Lou won't hear the end of this one 🙄😂
