Seeking participants with shoulder pain for a study investigating the effects of exercise treatment.
The purpose of this study is to investigate the effects of exercise for rotator cuff tendinopathy.
Rotator cuff tendinopathy is characterised by pain at the front or side of the shoulder and may radiant into the upper arm. Pain is typically worse when lifting the arm, completing overhead activities or generally with increased shoulder activity.
Participating in this research involves a 12 week long exercise treatment. Once enrolled in the study you will be randomised to one of 2 different treatments. Your exercise program will be supervised by an experienced physiotherapist and provided to you free of charge. You will be required to record details of the exercise you complete via a simple online form. Throughout the trial you will be asked to wear an activity tracking sensor. You will be asked to attend a strength assessment prior to beginning your exercise treatment, and at 6,12and 26 weeks.
Upon completing the final survey and strength assessment at 26 weeks you will be sent a $100 gift card for your participation in the study. Please note in order to receive this gift card all study requirements must be met including online questionnaires at 6, 12 and 26 weeks. Participation in this study is voluntary.
To register your interest please go to https://www.evinci.com.au/research or contact Josh Naunton on 0407 530 123 or at [email protected]

Dear Physio Freedom customers,
At this stage we are following the same protocol as per previous lockdowns.
As per government guidelines, Physio Freedom is able to remain open during this lockdown to treat "essential patients"
This includes anyone who is post surgery a fracture or acute injury. It also includes patients who are in sufficient pain that in the absense of physiotherapy they would require additional pain killing medication or additional medical input ie: a visit to the GP.
Patients who must reschedule until after the lockdown are those who are in for a routine check up or progression of their exercises. This can wait.
So we look forward to continuing to help essential patients during lockdown. Please give us a call if you are unsure or are not going to attend your appointment. Thank you all, stay safe
