Kyosado Martial Arts

The development of the mind is only achieved when the body is disciplined. To achieve this, the ancient masters taught us to imitate creatures: from the crane we learn grace and self-control. The snake teaches us flexibility and rhythmic movements. The eagle speed and patience. From the tiger we learn tenacity and power. And from the dragon we learn to ride on the wind. If we have the wisdom to learn, everyone can teach us their virtues. Between the fragile beauty of the white crane and the strength of the winged dragon there is no discord. Between the silent flexibility of the serpent and the claws of the eagle there is only harmony, since the elements of nature cannot conflict. When we manage to understand the order of nature, we eliminate the conflict within ourselves and discover the harmony of body and mind in the continuous movement of the universe

We want to congratulate Master Eduardo Salazar, founder of Kyosado Martial Arts School who was appointed directly by Dojunim Ji Han Jae as the Australian representative of the WORLD SIN MOO HAPKIDO. With a trajectory of more than 35 years dedicated to the development and improvement of Hapkido worldwide. With his appointment within the WORLD SIN MOO HAPKIDO organization he will give a technical boost to our martial art in Australia by establishing a direct link with one of the largest and most respected organizations in the world.

The Dojunim Ji Han Jae, founder of the World Sin Moo Hapkido (WSMH) and the Korea Hapkido Federation (KHF) is one of the great Masters recognized and respected in Korea and worldwide, the ranks granted by our organization are registered worldwide.

Constant technical assistance through activities such as seminars, ensure a constant level of interaction that promotes the improvement of the technical level and the formalization and legitimacy of the ranks granted. In these times of so much commercialism in the martial arts it is important to have the support of serious and legitimate organizations, directed by great masters of recognized and proven trajectory such as the Dojunim Ji Han Jae.

We are sure that it is the beginning of great things for our Hapkido in Australia !!

Today: The korean bow

The korean bow (Hwal) is a water buffalo horn-based composite reflex bow, standardized centuries ago from a variety of similar weapons in earlier use. The korean bow utilizes a thumb draw and therefore employing the use of a thumb ring is quite common. Also, the arrow is laid on the right side of the bow, unlike the western bow, where the arrow is laid on the left side of the bow.

The standard length is unstretched 96cm, when the bow is stretched, it is 110cm long and the draw weight varies between 30-45 pounds
