Everybody, Meet Stephen!

This bloke has chucked in the hard yards over the last 8 weeks and although has fallen just shy of his 10% goal, he said to me last night “I am feeling heaps better in every aspect, sleep, food, energy, all of it, so I am not fussed about missing out by a small amount” then we did his measurements and he had lost over 12cm on his stomach and gained in the bicep and quad!

Thanks heaps Steve! Love your work mate and looking forward to having you around for many more sessions to come 🐺

Member spotlight 💡⁠
This is the legendary, Peter Savic. He has been a part of the team at BOT for a few years and was voted Member of the Year in 2018 because of his bubbly nature, community spirit and involvement. Peter most recently took out the Back On Track Go Karting Championship Games! 🥇⁠
Not only has Peter taken the gold medal for go karting, he has also lost a huge 27.8kgs over his training journey. Congrats on your efforts, Savic. We love having you. ⭐

Mel has been a member of Back On Track since 2019. She recently completed a gut health cleanse ran at the studio. This is what she has to say about her experience.

“Within first 4 days the bloating was gone! Felt more energised and mentally alert. Also dropped some weight, which was another bonus! It’s given me the kick start post COVID lockdowns and as we head into winter to prioritise and focus on my personal fitness goals, which all starts with good gut health. So what did I learn?
Bloating isn’t normal! And to be more conscious of my gut health. I have a new morning routine to help set me up for the day. I discovered some great meal prepping tips to free up time. Also now logging my fitness pal, I use to find it tedious but now see it as a very useful tool. I fell back in love with cooking from scratch! My family are also benefitting.

My thanks go to Britt for her knowledge, guidance and support and to everyone else that shared this challenge with me, bouncing ideas and learnings. 💕

Jo Jo started in Aug 2017 as part of the 10 in 8 challenge and as been with us since!
This superwomen has had lot of injuries but that hasn’t stopped her from dropping 36kgs! 😮
She quotes “the trainers were supportive and modified the workouts depending on what I had done to keep me training!”
Jo mentions she has made some really great mates over the years and still enjoys training with them, especially on a Saturday morning during bootcamp when she entertains everyone with some “t-robics” dance moves the TRX! 😂

Technique Tuesday ✅
The Romanian Deadlift.

🔹 The RDL also known as a Stiff Leg Deadlift is all in the hips!

🔹Pretend someone is behind you with a band around your waist and is pulling your hips back.

🔹Think of shifting your weight to your heels.

🔹Rib cage is kept down so your core is on and back is in a good spot.

🔹The barbell path travels close to your legs.

🔹 Feel the stretch through the back of your legs without bending your knees too much.

🔹 Send your hips through at the top of the movement and squeeze your glutes! 🍑
