Our rollercoaster VFL season unfortunately came to a close in the Semi Final as we fell short to Brisbane in a high-scoring contest at Brighton Homes Arena.

Brodie wrapped up his finals performance with an impressive six-goal spree 👏 Across our three finals, he racked up 14 goals, adding to the 35 he notched during the regular season. A well-deserved recognition as our final East West Master Plumbers Seagull of the Week for 2024!

The Williamstown Football Club is saddened to announce the passing of long-time supporter and volunteer, Lancelot Seal.

Lancelot Leslie Seal, born on June 22, 1951, was a true fixture in the Williamstown community, embodying the blue and gold spirit from a young age. Living just around the corner from the Williamstown Football Oval, Lance and his family were loyal supporters, attending every home game and passionately cheering for the Towners.

Known for his friendly demeanour, Lance was a cherished part of the Williamstown scene. He was always seen greeting fellow supporters with a smile and engaging in lively conversations as he moved around the ground. His dedication extended beyond cheering; he played a variety of roles, from handing out oranges to selling game fixtures at the gate, and even giving massages to the players after matches.

Lance’s warmth and joy extended beyond his community involvement. As a young boy, he brought much happiness to his family, and as an adult, his quick wit and cheerful outlook touched the hearts of many. His presence was a beloved constant, embodying the spirit of the Williamstown community he loved so dearly.

A funeral service will be held for Lance this Wednesday 11th September 1.30pm at Nelson Bros Funeral Services. Further details can be found via the below link:
