On Friday last week, I was honoured to be invited to join the crew on ABC Radio National Victoria to help out producer Rose Paton, whose son was turning 5 over the weekend 🥳

He had specifically requested the Duck cake from the Aussie iconic The Australian Women's Weekly Children’s birthday cook book. Arguably the most challenging cake in the entire book! 😳This particular cake has recently been thrown back into the spotlight thanks to a Bluey episode…. Thanks Bluey 😂
Not wanting to disappoint her son, she called upon me for some tips and tricks to help curb her caking overwhelm. After a few laughs about potentially changing the design to the MUCH easier Cricket Bat cake without him noticing, we got down to business 🤓🤩

We discussed easier options for time poor parents and I gave a hot tip for producing the perfect buttercream (straight from our buttercream recipe on our website). In the end Rose hand balled the task to her amazing hubby who nailed the brief of duck cake with sharks swimming around the duck! How do you think they went? We love it!!!! 🥰
