What a crew 🫶
We’re here to tell you that YOUTH IS ON TONIGHT 🙌
If you
- are still missing youth camp
- couldn’t make it to camp
- have never been but want to learn about Jesus
then St Mick’s Youth is the place for you tonight!
This week we start a mini-series in the Psalms. We can’t wait to see you all there! Yiew 👏
How good are Fridays? 💛
See you all tonight as we finish up looking at God’s mercy to sinners in the book of Genesis, and get hyped for youth camp which is NEXT WEEK!
“Whenever the rainbow appears in the clouds, I will see it and remember the everlasting covenant between God and all living creatures of every kind on the earth.”
God is faithful to his promises.
In Genesis 9, God promises to never again destroy all life on earth, even he knew though humanity would continue to rebel against him as they did before the flood. This is an amazing promise, and God demonstrates how seriously he takes this promise with this covenant. He is committed to keeping it! How amazing is that.
Next time you see a rainbow, thank God that he is a merciful God, faithful to his promises. 🌈
What stops you from being able to rejoice? How can we prompt our hearts to rejoice in the Lord always?
Throughout Philippians, we have seen the joy of unity in the gospel, and of living for Jesus who emptied himself and became human to die in our place.
This is how we can rejoice always, by remembering the loving kindness of King Jesus, and spurring each other on to do the same!
Who can you rejoice with today? Who can you share the goodness of Jesus with?
Last week: extreme musical chairs, singing songs together and hearing from God’s Word, what could be better?
See you all this Friday at 7PM!
“To exalt Christ; this is what God made you for.”
What is your motivation in life? For Paul, it was to always speak of and glorify Jesus, to make sure his goodness was known to everyone, even as he was locked up in prison for doing just that. This is why he could confidently say that to live is Christ, and to die is gain.
Tonight we continue looking at the letter to the Philippians, to see how Paul and Philippians could trust in God in trying times.
Last week: chocolate portraits and marshmallow towers. This week: hot chocolate with marshmallows 🙌
Tonight is our winter outdoor cinema! Bring your mates, anything that will keep you warm, and $5 for hot chocolates & popcorn🍿
Last week, through the story of Jonah and the big fish, we learnt that God hears us in our distress when we cry out to Him! In Jesus, he provides the ultimate rescue from the ultimate problem of sin.
Praise God for Jesus who well and truly brings our life up from the pit!
IMPORTANT UPDATE: NO YOUTH TONIGHT
Sadly St Mick’s Youth will not be on tonight. As you’ve probably heard, we’re expecting lots of rain tonight and the SES have asked everyone to stay home and stay safe. We want to be loving to you guys, and to everyone around us as well, so we’ve decided not to run Youth Group tonight.
We’re sad not to see you tonight, but we can’t wait to hang out together again next week for our final week of Term 1!
Stay home and stay safe!
