Shellharbour Wild
Whale Watching and Scenic Adventure Tour Company.
Little bit of wind chop today but still, we were lucky enough to sight a couple Whales!
Did you know Humpback whales don't eat for most of the year! They live off their fat reserves for 5.5-7.5 months each year, as they migrate south from their tropical breeding grounds to the Antarctic, to then feed on krill. 🐳🐋🦐

We are cruising all weekend here at Shellharbour Wild - with tomorrow looking to be a perfect day to be out on the water whale watching!
Exciting day out on the water yesterday! 10 Whales in total with a couple of tail flicks and a few males coming in close to check the boat out!
Did you know: Humpback Whales can grow to around 15 metres in length and weigh up to 30 tonnes. Female humpback whales are usually larger than males ☀🐋
As we head into peak migration the weather is looking to be on our side just in time to get some spectacular whale watching in!
Over the coming week there is minimal wind and swell predicted - our crew reporting today that it was 'glass out conditions' meaning it was spectacular conditions and was almost as calm as being on a lake!
Book now: shellharbourwild.com.au
Did you know: that the Humpback Whale can grow up to 18metres in length - and can live for 80 to 90 years!
We have altered our cruise times slightly for the foreseeable future! We will now be cruising at 11am from Monday to Friday - 10am, 12pm + 2pm on Saturdays & Sundays!

Awesome day out on the water today! The conditions were perfect and the Whales were out and about - with a couple coming up close to our boat!
Our customers walked away extremely happy after the experience we had onboard todays cruise!
We often get asked what is the best time to see Whales?
Whilst there is no set date or time (as these magnificent creatures are wildlife) we can tell you that based off our recent years whale watching - we are heading into peak migration!
What does this mean?
This means that the number of Whales passing by the coastline everyday will increase! Meaning that there will be a higher chance of sightings onboard our cruises during this time!

Although the current sea conditions have kept us in the Harbour today - things are predicted to ease over the coming week. We are planning to be out on the water every day for the rest of the week!
Here's an amazing shot from our deckhand Nicci to get you excited for what there is to see on our cruises!
