Here’s a tip for creating a fun wedding 💕Congratulations to newlyweds Helen and Brad 🥂 Their intimate beach micro wedding was a beautiful celebration with immediate family and closest friends.

😍This second-time-around couple delighted everyone with their spontaneous and fun approach, even playfully messing up their legal vows.

💛The most memorable moment was when Helen and Brad went off script, adding a unique touch to the ceremony. I should have anticipated this when they declined my offer to print their vows on cards, insisting they were all set. This delightful surprise made their special day even more unforgettable.

✨Here’s a tip ceremony planning✨Consider the elements. To me music is key element makes a ceremony special.

For the Dawn Service it is the Period of Silence - Reveille are the most moving part.

After the formal ceremony, then follows a refreshments and a game like 2 up. Notice the lows and highs, the seriousness and the lighten parts to the day. We take people through various emotions.

At your next ceremony pause to notice the parts of the ceremony.

When I’m writing the Order of Service for any ceremony, it takes time and a lot of consideration in how as a Celebrant I help to emotionally move people through the ceremony. That plays a big part in making a ceremony memorable.

Essential candle fact few people know: There’s a quirk in Australian laws regarding candles: they aren’t required to disclose their ingredients because, well, you’re not supposed to eat them! While we meticulously label our food and drinks, the same transparency doesn’t extend to candles.

🛑But hold on, before you go lighting up a room with paraffin candles galore, let’s talk about what you might be inhaling.

🏭You see, when candles burn, they release stuff into the air, and we end up breathing that stuff in. ✨THE RING EXCHANGE✨ A classic wedding ceremony ritual where the rings symbolically seal the vows. There are many ways to make this moment special and I share these ideas with my couples.

🎁The rings are the first gifts you give each other as newlyweds, make the ring appearance special.

💛I’m in favour of the couple speaking their own words (I offer lots of suggestions) and carrying out this part without me directing them like “Groom place the ring on bride’s finger and repeat after me”. I can if people want me to, however it’s such an intimate moment and leads directly to the kiss, I say give the couple plenty of space and some well time romantic music.
