Due to a reshuffle of our 2024 event schedule, we've had to move the 2024 State Showriding Championships to Sunday, 19th January 2025. The event will now be held at the Hawkesbury Showgrounds.

We're thrilled to announce an incredible opportunity in collaboration with Racing NSW! We have been given 5 free competition entries to the prestigious 2024 Equimillion event.
This game-changing competition showcases the versatility and suitability of retired Thoroughbred racehorses for new careers beyond the track. With over 300 horses and their fans gathering at the Sydney International Equestrian Centre, Equimillions celebrates Australia's greatest breed and offers a share of over $1 million in prizes!
As part of this fantastic partnership, we are giving Pony Club NSW members the chance to enter one horse with one rider across two disciplines during the four-day competition. This is a unique opportunity to highlight the care and talent of Thoroughbreds at the grassroots level.
To participate, entrants must have current financial Competitor or Participant membership of Equestrian Australia at the time of entry and ensure they choose suitable classes for their horse. Categories are available for Junior, Amateur, and Open riders. Horses must meet the eligibility criteria under Equimillions.

🌟 Attention Coaches & Clubs! 🌟
Does your club need more instructors? There are a few last-minute spots available for the Zone 20 State Instructors School Practical and Assessment Day, happening this weekend, the 10th - 11th of August, in Holbrook.
To be eligible, you should be ready for the school and assessment, meaning you’ve already completed your two-night Zoom school, online horsemanship, gear check, and have your workbook filled out and ready to go. This is also a great opportunity if you need to update from the old system to the new system or your accreditation has expired and you need to renew!

VOLUNTEER OF THE YEAR AWARD
Launched in 2010, the volunteer of the year award acknowledges the hard work and dedication of our volunteers.
JUNIOR SERVICE AWARD
The Junior Service Award was introduced in 2013, this award acknowledges the service of our junior members.
KEITH LOWE AWARD
The Keith Lowe award is named after a former State President, this award recognizes senior members, 19 and under 25 years of age, who have provided practical assistance and outstanding service to their club and/or zone.
CLUB OF THE YEAR AWARD
The Club of the Year Award recognises and rewards a Pony Club NSW affiliated club that during the past 12 months fostered participation and enjoyment at all levels of the sport, showed innovation in administration, skills development, and personal growth for members and provided opportunities for a diverse range of participants as well as a broad community appeal.
One individual per zone receives each award, there are up to 27 recipients per award, an overall total of 81 possible recipients. A member may nominate themselves or be nominated by a current financial member.
The winners will announced at the State Meetings in November.
Each recipient receives a certificate and a prize pack from our sponsors.

Entries for the Championships are healthy however on speaking with the host Zone and Advisory Committee they raised that our original closing date coincided with the return for many to school after holidays and getting back into normal routine. As a result we have been able to extend entries to midnight Tuesday 31st July however orders for merchandise may be limited and no orders will be able to be accepted for polo shirts due to production time.

This is an excellent opportunity for:
- Anyone who wishes to start their instructor's journey by doing their Bronze Certificate or NCAS Preliminary.
- Anyone updating an existing NCAS certificate.
- Old system or Introductory instructors who need to transition to the new system.

New to Quiz? Members don’t need to ride to participate in this discipline. They are selected based on their knowledge and certificate level. The quiz typically consists of the following phases:
Written Test Phase: Questions based on proficiency standards up to one level above the participant’s age group.
Mega Room Phase: Competitors identify horse-related items displayed on various tables, matching them with an answer sheet.
Games Phase: A variety of games covering general knowledge and horse management.
Classroom Phase: Team members answer required questions in a classroom setting.
