The following are the first steps you can take to save a wet carpet:

1. Get the wet underlay out from underneath the carpet.
2. Prop the carpet up off the subfloor to allow air to circulate underneath the carpet e.g. with upside down buckets.
3. Dry the carpet with a normal fan, no heating.
4. Contact us to organize a reinstallation and underlay replacement.

Flooring Sales Consultant
South Coast Floor Coverings have helped customers and homeowners choose the right flooring solutions for over 50 years. We are looking for a flooring sales consultant, to join us in our quest to deliver outstanding service to our customers from the start of the selection process through to the installation of the product. If you are driven to assist customers in improving their home decor, colour coordinate, find the right flooring solution and receive benefits for your hard work then this position is for you.

About the Job

We wish to appoint an experienced or trainee sales consultant, so experience in the flooring industry is desired but not necessary.

Your everyday tasks and jobs will include but are not limited to:

Serving and assisting customers with design and colour selections.
Estimating from construction plans.
Placing orders for materials.
Following up on orders placed.
Coordinating tradespeople and making bookings for jobs.
Following up with accounts still needing to be paid by customers.
Assisting to ensure the showroom is clean and organised.
Putting together quotes for clients.
Showing pride in the job and what they do.
Working effectively and efficiently.
There is an expectation that the successful candidate will be able to time manage and identify which jobs and tasks should be prioritised, according to the demand without assistance or being directed to.
