Andromeda Lembo’s background in design and architecture has informed her photographic art journey. Her love of architecture and appreciation of built form are translated into her work. The scholarship to the Artist Retreat Muse and Maker at Robertson has been awarded to Margaret Dubowski for her entry: 'Eucalypt' drawing in graphite and watercolour pencil on Hahnemuhle paper.
“The development of my art practice began with the wanderings and painting 'en plein air' with my mother and grandparents as a child along the south-eastern coasts of Australia. The artistic dabblings and conversations they included me in have influenced my work profoundly ever since. Gathering and discussing flora on our bushwalks, drying, pressing and sketching was wonderful to me…”

A reminder to send your entry this weekend for a chance to win a $1500 scholarship to
the Muse and Maker Creative Artist Retreats that will be held quarterly in 2024 at the magnificent
Robertson Hotel (https://www.therobertsonhotel.com/).
Winner will be announced on Tuesday 17th Oct.
Please send an email to [email protected] with three images of your work,
your CV, and 150 words about your practice. A panel of judges will choose one winner who will be offered a
scholarship to a retreat of their choice.
These retreats will explore creative provocations alongside practical making sessions in the inspiring
surrounds of the Robertson Hotel You will meet other creative practitioners as you dream up new projects
and hone your creative practice. Alongside making workshops there will be fully catered long table dinners
with locally sourced produce by award winning chef The Farmed Hand, poolside drinks, life drawing classes,
foraging walks, open fires, talks, music and nature excursions.
These retreats have attracted a line up of some of Australia’s leading artists and will be a transformative
experience.
