At NRG we believe that dance and cheerleading should be accessible to ALL skill levels! Our aim is to help every single student that walks through our doors improve and reach their individual potential!

What is Mummy/Daddy & Me?

Designed for little ones who are walking and ready to discover the joys of structured learning, our classes are a perfect introduction to classroom dynamics. We focus on fostering coordination, safety awareness, and core strength through engaging activities.

Here's what makes our classes special:

Structured Learning: We guide children through transitions, waiting their turn, and following instructions in a nurturing environment.

Musical Fun: Activities include singing songs with actions to enhance coordination and rhythm, such as our dance-themed "Head, Shoulders, Knees, and Toes."

Sensory Exploration: Using maracas, we teach rhythm and tempo, helping children understand fast and slow movements.

Parent Bonding: Activities are designed for cuddle time with parents, strengthening the parent-child bond while learning.

Safe Environment: Held in our fully sprung cheerleading room with carpeted mats, ensuring safety during activities and playful tumbles.

Skill Development: From running and jumping to basic acrobatics and forward rolls on safe mats, children practice essential motor skills.

Obstacle Courses: After a snack break, children enjoy free movement and exploration with soft balance beams, tunnels, mats, wedges, mini tramps, and more.

Joy and Energy: Children love exploring the expansive space, running freely, and engaging in a variety of stimulating activities.

Transition and Growth: Gradual transition from parental support to independent learning fosters independence and confidence, preparing them for structured classes as they grow.

Dance and cheer coaches have a lifelong impact on our kids. They are not just teachers of dance moves or cheer routines; they are mentors, role models, and confidants. Our coaches play a significant role in helping our children navigate the difficult years of adolescence. Sometimes, they can provide guidance and advice that teenagers may not be willing to accept from their parents. They are there to listen, support, and encourage our kids through the ups and downs of life.

Our coaches also help build resilience and character in our children. Through the challenges and triumphs of dance and cheer, they instill valuable life skills such as perseverance, teamwork, discipline, and determination. These qualities go beyond the studio or the field; they shape our children into strong and confident individuals who are ready to take on any obstacles that come their way.

At NRG, we believe that accountability is one of the most important values we can instill in our kids because it sets them up for long term success in all aspects of their life. We teach our kids that accountability means taking ownership of their actions and effort, both in and out of class.

Learning to be accountable helps kids understand the impact they have on their world, their class mates and their coaches. This helps them become a better friend, team player and community member, which in turn, helps them create and keep connections, leading to better mental and physical health outcomes. The positive flow on effects of being able to be accountable are immense!

It's so important to all our coaches that our kids walk out of our doors with skills that will help them through their life. We want to see all our kids thriving in the world and we love that we get to contribute to these life lessons that will help them.

Here at NRG, we are incredibly fortunate to have a team of coaches who embody our core values of Respect, Accountability, and Kindness. They not only teach the technical aspects of dance and cheer but also serve as positive role models for our kids. They go above and beyond, dedicating their time and energy to the emotional and physical development of our young dancers and cheerleaders. Their passion and genuine care for our kids are truly inspiring.

MID-YEAR CONCERT 🤩🎉

Our Pink Stream dancers and our Lil Shining Stars had an amazing time performing for their friends and family at our Mid-Year concert! They danced, tumbled, cheered, and had lots of fun on the big stage!

Performance time is our favourite! We get to show off all the fun we’ve had in class. Backstage is so much fun too! We have colouring, games and even a little Bluey to help our littlest one settle and have a great experience. It’s really important to us that all our kids have a great experience from the time they arrive to the time they leave.

Your coaches, family, and friends are so proud of your hard work throughout the year so far, and we can’t wait to see what you achieve next term 🫶🏽✨🌈

KINDNESS

Kindness is one of our main 3 values here at NRG. While no one gets it right 100% of the time, we aim to act and speak kindly to each other as often as we can. Sometimes that means taking a deep breath before we speak or giving ourselves some space if we feel a little hot headed.

Being part of NRG is not just about learning great dance and cheer moves, it’s also about working to improve our character so we can be a great community member.

A little kindness can go a long way in making someone’s day a little brighter. We can all have an impact on those around us, and we get to choose for it to be a positive one.

We love watching their development each week as they improve

🌟 Social skill development - we introduce concepts of waiting our turn & sharing

🌟 Gross Moter Skills - our activities allow them to experiment with pulling, pushing, jumping on and off, climbing, throwing, catching, running and more

🌟 Risk Assessment - we provide opportunities for our little ones to learn how to assess risks and become confident to play in all different kinds of environments

🌟Musicality and rhythm - our fun games teach our little ones how to count and feel the beat

🌟 Dance movements - we use play and stories to teach basic dance technique and movement

Our Mummy/Daddy & Me class runs every Friday morning from 9:30am-10:15am & we would love to have you and your little one there!

We LOVE Monkey Tumble 🙈

Our Monkey Tumble class is perfect for those little ones who love to jump off the couch and hang upside down. Our Lil Monkeys accelerate their ability to assess heights and risk, as well as learning to fall safely, leading to less serious falls at home. Best of all, they have a blast while building strength, agility and burning off energy. It's a win for parents and kids!
